Curt Schilling's temper-tantrum when that happened to him in Arizona was obnoxious but, after getting hear alot more of him when he joined the Sox, was in retrospect perfectly predictable.
right - it'd be similar to vinny letting strahan tackle him just to set the record

twballgame9 {l Wrote}:If the bunt is an attempt to win a baseball game that is still in reach, no problem with it. If you do it for no other reason than to break up a guys no-hitter, expect one in the ear hole. For example, down 5-6 runs in the 9th. Bush.
Dirtywater {l Wrote}:The other team should do everything it can to legitimately end a no hitter including bunting in the ninth when down by nine runs if that is their best chance of getting a guy on base. Otherwise you diminish the accomplishment and specialness. Hell, the other team should be humiliated by being no hit.

The point is to win, not to not get no hit. Bunting for a hit down 9 runs in the ninth would be retarded if you weren't being no hit. Hence, it is bush league when you are being ho hit.
TobaccoRoadEagle {l Wrote}:how about if the bunter (on the team down by 9) has a 32 game hitting streak and wants to try to continue it by advancing to first base using bunting techniques and SPEEEEEEEEED.

He should have bunted in the first inning, when his team was still in the game.
so he should bunt in his first at-bat of every game?!?!?! come on, man - your better at addressing ridiculous hypotheticals than that
