BCEagles25 {l Wrote}:You can’t eliminate basketball. It’ll remove BC from P4 conference consideration in football and remove them from the bulk of the money that makes. They would effectively relegate themselves. You think attendance is difficult when they’re in the ACC, wait til they’re playing in the MAC

Eliminate is a bad word...just dont spend NIL $ on it unless they catch lightening in a bottle. They aren't doing anything until they get a new coach.

This team is going to make that Eli Carter team look like the Globetrotters. Earl is a crappy coach that never should’ve been hired, but this mess isn’t on him.

Your first sentence is correct. But, the rest is crap. You have to go back to 2012 to find a Men's BB National Champ who is a current member of the SEC or B10. Over that time, six Nat Champs were from the poorly funded Big East. When you also consider the mid majors who have proliferated the Final Fours recently, it is clear that BB is the sport that BC has some chance to compete. To accomplish that... in a world of permanent Portal and NIL, it is foolish to spend money on a head coach. Instead, earmarked coaching salaries should be channeled to overpaying for talent.

This. Not to mention that a 15 player roster is cheaper than a 90-man + countless staff operation that is football. There’s a reason why the Big East is great too; almost all of their funding goes to basketball because they don’t need to even worry about the gas guzzler that is a football program

Athletes are athletes and coaching is coaching. Or lack thereof.
more than 10 teams have reached out to Power since he entered the portal. The most notable names include the USC Trojans, the Michigan Wolverines, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Arkansas Razorbacks and Kentucky Wildcats, both fresh from the John Calipari coaching change, have also both reached out to the former Blue Devil. Kayser also named ACC foes Miami, Wake Forest, and Boston College, along with BYU, West Virginia, and Iowa.
