RBs are averaging 3 yards a carry
innocentbystander {l Wrote}:Okay in watching this game, Grossel is a far-below-average ACC QB. For someone who has been in college football for so long, making these kind of passes and going 4-for-9 with 37 yards against Temple, unacceptable. He should be 8-for-9 with no ints. Might as well get the frosh ready. With Grossel at the helm, they win 2 or maybe 3 ACC games this year, maximum.
And the pass blocking has been horrible. Hafley and Cignetti should just go max protection, send 2 (maybe 3) downfield and give Grossel enough time to wait until any one of them get open. Then throw the duck pass to them. He's been in college football long enough to check down on all his receivers. He should not have to be running for his life back there.

Some bad reads by Garwo on several plays hasn’t helped that. There have been some big holes on many of the plays.

Corporal Funishment {l Wrote}:What is the point of running it up the middle over and over? Is that going to be the game plan against Clemson? If the whole season depends on our passing game's ability to score points, why wouldn't we give them a chance to get in sync - especially with a new quarterback?
Why did we have Jurk slinging the ball all over the place up 35 against Colgate but we turned off the passing game at halftime against Temple? There is something seriously wrong with this coaching staff.

The point is to end the game quickly and with no more mistakes or injuries. What's the point of letting a bad QB try to run up the score in a 28 to 3 game.
Jobs done. Move on. Boring as shit but effective.

BowlStreak {l Wrote}:This... completely sucks. The rest of this team has its flaws, but with a healthy Jurkovec we could have made a lot of games very interesting. This just reminds me of too many previous BC teams, with the frustrating exception that we actually have capable WR now, but literally no one to get the ball into their hands except on a jet sweep.

twballgame9 {l Wrote}:The ACC is so bad that they can still win all but Clemson. The just won't with Grosel. But they aren't falling off a cliff.

I think 10-2 is still in play for this year but prob will end up dropping 1-2 games they should still win to end up with 8 or 9.
