Yeah. But Steff Mitchell will be back. Every. Year.
Maybe he will get his FT% up to 50% in year 7.
Steff Mitchell declared for the NBA draft today.
Not sure that anyone in the NBA will notice/care
BCEagles25 {l Wrote}:I hope Grant/AD is aware that keeping the talented players on the roster will make their lives easier. The problem with the “burn it all down” mentality is that you need good players to win in the ACC. If you start with a few good players, you dont have to recruit as many good players. Its sort of like boiling water from the tap - going to be quicker if you run it hot first instead of trying to boil cold water.
This shouldn’t be new to anyone, but having Heath Mitchell Tabbs (possibly Felder) leave isn’t as “no big deal” as we think
HJS {l Wrote}:Felder into the portal. Second best player on the team.

him choosing to go somewhere other than where eddy grant went would be a bad sign for our new coach

Brevin Galloway was Charleston’s best player but blew out his ACL in December. I. His absence, Zep Jasper took over and led the team in scoring. Jasper entered the portal when Eddy was still at CoC. Grant said in one of his radio interviews that he would not recruit CoC players to transfer to BC.

Is that a failed prediction by HJS, or did he leave enough wriggle room by "paraphrasing" Grant?

The only people wrong all the time on this board didn’t attend Boston College. If I’m wrong, then it’s in reporting... not prognosticating. Subtle differences that drastically change SAT scores. Nonetheless, you can watch the ACC radio interview Grant did to confirm or deny the comments. Of course, as is the case when write something that is again proven inaccurate... you don’t care enough to pull yourself away from the dramatic Dwayne Killings hire as he fills his staff with part-time high school coaches.

I’m giving Grant a chance. He’s said all the right things in the presser and wants to win.

He wants to win? Hold the phone, that changes everything. It's a major point of differentiation from every other coach in the country!

Hello? You play to win the game.
Dick Rosenthal {l Wrote}:Wonder if adding Paulsen to his staff gives us any sort of entree with Tre Mitchell or Kellen Grady. Paulsen was extremely well-liked and well respected as a teacher in the A10. Mitchell was a two time All Academic selection in the A10 and Grady went back to Davidson last year to get his degree even after NBA scouts told him to transfer to a P6 to upgrade his competition if he wanted to improve his draft grade (which was mid to late 2nd round after both his sophomore and junior years. We can offer both ample playing time and Grady is from Boston and they are both definitely good ACC starter level talent. Also wonder if he might bring Kolek with him, as Kolek entered the transfer portal. I don’t think Kolek is a starter on a good ACC team, but given his range, I’d think he’d be a good reserve player off the bench. Certainly a big upgrade over Rich Kelly, which is admittedly a low bar. Kolek is also from Rhode Island, which would seem to be another factor in our favor assuming we have an interest.
BC923 {l Wrote}:Think I saw that we had reached out to Kolek. I doubt Grady comes, he’ll have a lot of options
