Eaglekeeper {l Wrote}:Maybe they should cancel this game. We don’t need Texas St infecting BC.
Go Eagles!
HJS {l Wrote}:I just checked out how Texas State has started the year. Don't seem to have any trouble scoring. Can run and pass. Defense seems to be a more of a mixed bag (though they kept LA Monroe in check). This is their 4th game. They are 1-2 but easily could be undefeated based upon the close back-and-forth first two games of the season.

They are not a good football team and their defense is objectively awful. Gave up almost 450 years to ULM and that’s their season low in yards against. Allowing well over 4 years per carry. On offense they are much more prolific through the air (though they have started their second string QB the past two weeks) than on the ground though, so the secondary has to keep ball hawking. This combo of porous D and reliance on the pass can be exploited for a significant differential in time of possession, grinding them into dust in the second half.
Eaglekeeper {l Wrote}:Do you really trust the testing Texas St is doing? There could be infected players that have yet to test positive. ND just postponed the Wake game due to 7 new positives for a total of 13, plus potentially more with contact tracing.
Go Eagles!

450 years is a very long time to give up.
durkcal {l Wrote}:This Texas State game would be the exact kind of game to make Daz look bad. He'd be all over confident coming off the Duke W. He would look at the tape and their W/L record and decide "MY Offensive Line will mash them". And then of course, the total lack of preparation defensively for playmakers unleashed all over the field would just leave him mouth agape as we spilled into a 42-41 shooting match with lots of fun stuff like missed FG's from the 13 yd line.
Glad we don't have to see that!

You don't actually know that you won't see that...

Yeah, I suspect we won't be playing 10 min. quarters in the second half of this game.
claver2010 {l Wrote}:the radio show is actually good this year even meter and cronin.
nice story from hafley. knowing he was probably done for year w acl kobay asked to travel down w team and then texted hafley if he could go w equipment team to set up lockerroom at 530 last saturday to help team.
hafley talked about accountability and started meeting on sunday by showing team all the things he did wrong and won't do again. meter said 'it's nice to have some accountability around the program'
it's on the podcast feed if you're looking for something to listen to around the house
