Holy shit I missed that too. What a shame. I took some of their grass after the 93 game.

Syracuse stinks. NCSU stinks. ND is decent. Our defense will have a tough time with their offense and Claypool will probably have a career day. That being said, BC has a chance.

No. The high school quarterback that apparently is the only person who understands the inscrutable concepts of the Kelly offense is awful. Chase Claypool (WR) and Cole Kmet (TE) are likely 1st round/high second round picks, the O-line has five guys who will play on Sundays and the RBs are about as good as Bailey, but a notch or two below AJ. The front seven is excellent, the d-backs outside of the freshman from Georgia who Kelly, for reasons known only to him, only plays in 3rd and long situations, are bad.
I would have thought we had a chance before VA Tech, but my guess is that this was ND’s wake up call and they won’t come out flat and uninterested against us. Our problem is that our strength (the running game) is matched by their excellent front seven and our defense is so bad that even their game managing high school quarterback can move the ball on us. If Groesel can manage to throw the ball down field more than 25 yards a couple of times, we might keep it interesting.
