He is visiting NCSU this weekend and TAMU the following weekend. 247 shows 4 picks (100%) for him to BC fwiw.

clarke (#3 recruit in country) is supposed to decide on saturday and it's between us & kentucky, apparently people connected to the program are more optimistic than would be expected.

The meltdown from Kentucky fans if that happened would be one of the funniest things in history.

Also, if all it took was fixing the training table, then why the hell didn’t we do this earlier

What year is Clarke ? Did someone say he was thinking of re-classifying to 2020 rather than 2021 ??

Where do you see that it’s down us and UK?

My UK neighbor has been taunting me saying that it is all but set in stone that Clarke commits to Uk after he canceled the visit to Memphis.

I believe the thinking is that we have been the only visits since announcing the top 6

Well obviously. The only way any of this makes sense to me is if under armor is investing in our success all of a sudden because they’ve realized they need to get into the college game after losing so consistently at signing NBA guys

Have you seen the BC under armor apparel? I'm not sure bags plural exist.

The odds of Clarke signing have to be 10% or less.

If Langford doesn't sign too, just toss Christian in the trash can now. A big recruiting cycle is the only thing that will save him with Tabbs out.

I have a 0% interest in retaining Jim Christian even with a Top 25 recruiting class.

This.

I commend Christian for not really complaining much unlike his football counterpart but he has had long enough to prove himself.

If we had the possible number one pick in the 21' draft committed to BC (well aware that's probably not happening), firing the coach would be moronic.

I don't think anyone in the major sports outlets is even giving a thought to the possibility of Clarke at BC. Clarke is all but committed to Kentucky. If Clarke somehow commits to BC, then BC picks up some top headlines and has potential to be good quickly. You absolutely do not fire Jim Christian in such scenario and there is 0% chance Martin Jarmond does it. You don't risk that when firing would create another rebuild.

I could only imagine what Clarke could do for the Boston College program.

Addazio may complain, but he complains being mediocre instead of fucking terrible.

We aren’t landing Clarke. But, if we did, JC is the head coach until Clarke says he isn’t.

He's one of the best high school basketball players in the country and he's on a mission to put his city on the map.

No one's talking about it. I'm a kid actually trying to put a city on the map, I'm going to shock everyone. It does line up. But I do think he signs with Kentucky. Great effort by BC, though.

His quotes about being a part of a family after leaving the school and a program good at player development does not favor BC. If he said he wanted to be a difference maker at a program then maybe he would be going to BC. I think his comments about putting Boston on the map are about himself, not BC.

I agree.

However, the reality is quite different. If you are looking to put your city on the map, you stay local. Countless BB stars have flowed out of Mass over the past two decades to monster programs. That said, Billy Curley did more for basketball in the city of Boston than Nerlens Noel. Guys like Wayne Turner, Mike Bradley and Terrance Mann were rarely mentioned as sons of Boston (while at Kentucky, Nova and FSU). The best examples are Chris Herren and Scoonie Penn. When at BC, there was a ton of focus on their local roots. But, when they failed/drugged out and transferred to OSU and Fresno, they were just another hired gun.
