You been to Qualcomm Stadium lately? It's literally falling apart.

Wonder who the ACC participant will be 4/5 years?
I would absolutely hate this, but what do yall think?

Hate it and would probably never attend. A bowl should not be in a cold weather city, I dont like being in Alumni in late November, let alone Fenway in late December.

Guessing you haven't either because it is SDCCU (whatever that is) Stadium now. It is also very far from anywhere you would want to stay. My butler's footman wouldn't even want to stay in Mission Valley.

I went to Padres games all the time from Mission Valley. It’s not far.

Is 15 or 20 minutes. This is dumb.

Los {l Wrote}:BC fans are getting soft. Football is meant to be played in cold weather. I would not want this every year, but having a solid bowl slot that essentially amounts to an 8th home game against a semi-regional team the day or two after Christmas when absolutely nothing is going on anyway is 1000x better than a random bowl game against the MAC or Sun Belt in some chamber of commerce game in a flyover state.
Of course I'd rather play in a destination bowl, somewhere warm against a P5 team. Win 10+ games if you want that. There aren't that many power 5 teams that play college football in northeast weather -- BC, Pitt, Penn State, Rutgers. We need to be playing more cold weather games, not fewer.

Hard disagree. Part of the fun of bowl season is the potential for a team that BC would never schedule.
Memphis, SMU, Houston, and Tulsa are never coming here. (And if they do, it will draw 5k fans.) As others have said, I'm very skeptical of a Wake-ECU (who are an underrated annoying fanbase) game. This will turn into what the Military Bowl was at RFK but there's no option to move to Annapolis, because BC sure as hell won't be hosting a bowl at Alumni.
