bcshater {l Wrote}:KC dominating Indy 24-7. Indy has not scored an offensive TD. Indy got their first 1st down with less than 2 minutes to go in the 1st half. Thought this would be an entertaining game. Vinateri missed a chip shot FG at the end of the half.

Josh McDaniels has been stealing money. To the tune of 3 straight Super Bowls - driven by the offense. But great take.

Don't let up a TD. That seems reasonable enough.
Supahfan99 {l Wrote}:Understand that the PI miss was really bad but:
1. Brees was ghastly in the 4th quarter, made a lot of bad throws and it looked like he would get away with it.
2. Payton absolutely shit himself after they set themselves up in FG range with the long pass completion right before the PI. A shitty pass play on first down that went incomplete is where this game went awry for the 'Aints. What could go wrong? It was a bad play, a low throw, went incomplete and saved the Rams a timeout. At that point you just changed how you approach 2nd and 3rd down and you're letting a stupid decision dictate the rest of the series. You end up in 3rd down, sure you have a missed PI but a scary play, easily could have been picked off. Not sure if that was a bad throw by Brees or a bad play call. Gotta go with a back shoulder throw where there is a low risk for a pick.
The 'Aints simply had no idea how to close out that game and it cost them the NFC Championship. Felt like I was watched Daz on the sideline.
Officiating was also bad this weekend. Amazing how many ODD plays happen and put the refs in this position. A lot of crazy stuff. How about the offsides for KC that negated basically a killer INT?

How do these bad calls still happen in the age of instant replay?

Im sure he'll be a great head coach when he gets a chance.

certainly seemed like the patriots d would stop mahomes going the other way if the chiefs won the toss. especially as this league moves towards pinball football the coin toss becomes the most important play in ot
but fixing the ot rules is the least of the nfl's problems right now
