Ostarine

So is Clemson running a dirty program?
Apparently, ostarine is the drug that Dexter Lawrence and two other players tested positive for recently. According to IBpedia, It reportedly increased physical stamina and fitness and other effects similar to anabolic steroids.
Thoughts?

I, for one, am shocked to find out that Clemson players are taking the juice. Clemson has always run an exceedingly clean program—Danny Ford was noted for his strict adherence to the rules and there is no doubt that Dabo has demonstrated a similar rectitude in creating his football factory. This must all be a horrible misunderstanding. Nothing to see here, move along.

Werent the majority of the penalties served while Ford was coach (83-84 IIRC) a result of violations that occurred during the previous head coach Pell?

Also, the B samples from all three players came back today and tested positive as well. Lawrence and the other 2 players could face up to a 1 year NCAA ban.

Definitely is going to impact Lawrence’s draft stock. Probably drops to late first rounder (at best). There is a likelihood that he’ll come in with a strike and potentially start his career with a suspension. He was easily Clempsun’s best DL the day we played them. Wilkins got all the press. But, that was because (a) he was freed up due to Lawrence double-teams and (b) he is a glory hound who is a dirty player. Even with that, Lawrence was the one who would make the big play on crucial downs.

The important question is if they are out for the bowl game.

They are 100% out for the Cotton Bowl. Clemson is looking into an appeal, but that would only impact the potential next game or the other two (who are looking at a year-long suspension).
