Darren6 {l Wrote}:Hello all,
My son will be starting BC in the Fall, coming up from New Orleans, and my wife and I will be up there for parents weekend and we will be attending the Temple game. He will be in the marching band so I have read about the Eagle walk and pregame pep-rally event on the steps, anything else that you can recommend we see or do? As an LSU alum, I have seen some pretty impressive gameday/tailgating atmospheres...we can't wait to get up there and take part in your culture. Thanks in advance!

My guess is anyone who was previously eligible for Shea will end up at Vanderslice, Robsham or 2150 Comm Ave. They also just opened up additional lots on the more affordable end of the spectrum (McElroy, Upper Brighton) which may be where some people go who don't want to shell out the minimum for Shea or Walsh. It's interesting that they're now offering full tailgating on the Brighton campus, which we were always led to believe was impossible.
DavidGordonsFoot {l Wrote}:Definitely go to Pops on the Heights on Parents' Weekend and definitely spend time exploring Boston even if you do the touristy stuff in August. We love BC and it is nice to walk around the campus in autumn, but everything about the game day experience is going to pale in comparison to LSU (Except for your seats, maybe, because the stadium is so much smaller than Tiger Stadium).

TobaccoRoadEagle {l Wrote}:you also might have some luck asking your question at the bcinterruption site https://www.bcinterruption.com/ (don't worry loyal degenerates, i did not meatbomb him on his first visit)
one of their moderators/administrators is a band alumni so he may have a bead on what they do and when/how they do it. ask for tubasteak. my only warning is that i don't think he imbibes in adult beverages himself, but he likely knows about those that do
Salzano14 {l Wrote}:before we all change into our uniforms, I'm not positive if parents or anyone is allowed in for that though my guess is no.

Nobody's allowed into the locker rooms until the post-game showers.
Darren6 {l Wrote}:One thing that I had to chuckle at...reading through a preseason outlook that said BC needs better play at QB, has a North/South running game, and a good young defense...and I immediately reverted back to what I have watched LSU football for the past several seasons. Hopefully BC can get in the win column a bunch and get to a decent bowl game.

Get used to the frustration of us running the ball 40+ times. Welcome aboard.

Darren6 {l Wrote}:Thanks for the welcome Tonto! Pretty dead on about the tourists and hurricane cups in NOLA, I do my best to stay away from the French Quarter. Thanks also for the heads up on that website. I told my son to check it out. Looking forward to interact with everyone here as we learn about Boston
