Happy for him and Hilliman. Seems like a very good fit for both (going back home and playing on a roster that with less competition).

Hilliman is blocking all sorts of BC fans on Twitter who say anything any remotely critical of his decision. I don't blame him for transferring. He has his degree.
twballgame9 {l Wrote}:Very smart for both. Would like Hilliman back but this is best for him.
HJS {l Wrote}:Don't know why it would be unlikely? The whole redshirt thing is wildly contrived. There should be no pushback... save dickering over whether the threshold should be 2, 3 or 4 games. It would also largely resolve the need for medical waivers for a 6th year (as many of those hardships involve injuries occurring at the very beginning of a season). The only thing I don't like about the proposal is that it isn't retroactive. If it is worth doing (because it helps student-athletes), it shouldn't matter.

doing some quick math we're going to see some movement this offseason
20 committed // only 12 seniors leaving (strachan, baker & wade have another year)
There will be a lot of attrition to make the numbers work.
Of the scholarship guys with eligibility remaining, pretty sure these guys are leaving: Wade, Hilliman, Stevens, Cohee, Wilson, Flutie, Vitiello, and Conte.
Why do you think Hilliman won't come back? He would still get plenty of carries on a team that looks like it will be pretty good. Seems like there would be mutual interest in a fifth year.
When classes began this year, he said it was his last first day. Also, he was introduced on SR day.
Again this is a dumber thing than the red shirt thing. They announce everyone that graduated on senior day. They announced Matt Ryan in 2006 not 2007. Means nothing. Hillman is a red shirt junior but he is a senior on senior day.
Does it also mean nothing that Schmal, Baker, Strachan and Bletzer were not introduced on SR day?
Dude you are wrong. They announce players graduating. Then they literally announce players with no eligibility remaining second. They say those precise words out loud.
Hope I am, we will see. Again, there are going to be a lot of guys leaving early to fit all the verbals.

claver2010 {l Wrote}:daz said glines is going to take carries. Dillon / levy / glines / bailey.
good thing there's minimal attrition at that position
'15 / '16 classes had 1 rb...who transferred to stonybrook (tre layup) after fr season

Does josh Haden have eligibility left?
twballgame9 {l Wrote}:Now that we have like 3 LBs coming in that are expected to contribute right away, what is stopping them from flipping Jones back if Dillon gets hurt? He was the best running back on the team two years ago. And its not like the portion of the playbook they use is more than a page or two.

Glines looked good in the Spring Game last year.
