This one feels like a rocketshipping to me. Hoping to be wrong.
Want to see Bowman continue to play well and Sagay at the game to allay my fears he might transfer.
Will we win another game this year?
longdistanceeagle {l Wrote}:I had chosen to stay away, but I will give you one last post. Sagay has mono. Probably not available for several weeks. Ty Graves transferred out after last Sunday's game. His father pulled him out when it was obvious he was being beaten out by a fellow freshman. Too small to be a 2 guard in the ACC and definitely, by far, the worst defensive player on the squad. The same thing happened when he wasn't getting any run at Monteverde last year. Hurts for depth this year, but going forward it is not a loss. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
longdistanceeagle {l Wrote}:Sagay would be getting between 5 - 10 minutes. He was getting better and JC was getting more comfortable with him. If he was equal to Owens, Sagay would get the minutes because of his great potential. Kraljevic is a 4 and is playing very well.

Seriously. Big picture wise, this is probably for the best.

I disagree. Freshman PGs are not fun and we're going to have another one next year.
Ditto. Graeves could have been a nice piece moving forward.
Edit: Bowman has also improved a ton, he can kinda dribble now. Dude is going to be good

Bowman's going to get 35 minutes a game now, which will probably be good for him because he can be aggressive (his strength) and play through mistakes without having to worry about being benched if he does something boneheaded.
On the downside, Bowman/Robinson both being asked to play 35 minutes a game is probably going to hurt the team defense. I felt like we were tired at the end of the Fairfield loss which contributed to the bad transition D and the really really bad weak fouls.

If this is his attitude, do you really think he would have contributed in the long run? If he was leaving for reasons other than playing time, I would agree with you, but if he's grown tired of competing less than one third into the season then I don't think he would have been reliable in years to come.
