I know I am just a stupid hillbilly and couldn't get into BC, even if my last name was Flutie..
but I should have been able to figure this out after 33 years on this crazy board.

QB Patrick Towles (6-4 7/8, 241) ran the 40 in 4.58 and 4.54 seconds, had a 31.5-second vertical, a 4.37-second short shuttle, and a 7.32-second three-cone. Scouts wanted him to go through a tight end workout but the transfer from Kentucky declined, saying he wanted to be a quarterback.

Fixed.
Towels is a lot of things... but a QB isn't one. He may have every measurable you can dream of, but he is the least natural player I have ever seen at the position. The trio of a walk-on (Fadule), a holder (Flutie) and a WR (Smith) all had a CONSIDERABLY better head for the position. I have no idea what he was like before suffering PSD while playing behind Kentucky's OL. However, now he is too shell-shocked to play the position... and I don't see that ever changing.

The real question on Towles is how many games would've we won last year with Wade as the QB. Towles was great in the bowl game, but was average at best in the 12 games before

This, he is a good athlete. 4.6-4.7 for a QB his size is not bad at all.

He has similar measurables to Chris Crane except Crane was a better passer. Too bad Crane got hurt near the end of the season.

Let's not romanticize Chris Crane here

twballgame9 {l Wrote}:As a passer, Crane was good at running and handing off to Montel Harris.
JesuitIvy {l Wrote}:Chris Crane was a bazillion times better than Towles as a passer and game manager. The only edge Towles has is he's better scrambling.
I'd bet the Jets draft Towles. They like crappy unproven QBs who have physical measurements that fit some formula. like Hackenberg, Smith, Petty, Sanchez (who turned out ok for 2 years) and half a dozen other guys who so bored me I've forgotten their names.

Sometimes it's hard to pick between Bowtie and Corners.
