HJS {l Wrote}:I'm pretty meh about decommits in general and particularly the ones who dropped from the 2016 Class (see Dalton, Daniel). However, this is the worst decommit we've had in a very long time. Kid is going to be excellent on the field, was a legacy from a supportive family and can handle the academics.
All that said, I don't begrudge any kid (BC legacy or not) who opts for Stanford, Harvard, Princeton or even Duke. I wouldn't tell my kids to pass on that opportunity in order to follow in their old man's footsteps. Nonetheless, this kid isn't looking around if Daz didn't suck at his job.

This was very funny.

I think this is more about us sucking than where we practice.

Stanford was 1-11 in 2006. Hired a good coach, spent $30 million on a football only facility that opened in 2013 and now they are a force. There is really no reason BC couldn't do the same.

Step 1: hire a good coach

Stanford is good at football, we suck.

good coach could be step 2. I don't really care which step comes first, but both are needed.

I agree with Hep-C.
Get good, players come.
Corporal Funishment {l Wrote}:The facilities are a symptom not a cause. No one goes all in on fancy facilities and then goes cheap-o on coaches and everything else. When we do build new facilities at BC, they'll be closer to bare minimum acceptable than best in class. Schools build fancy facilities when spending money to compete is part of the athletic strategy - same with when they spend for a name coach.
