Clifford and Diallo make all the difference to this team and Carter was very good.
First candidate for "not ACC Caliber Player" is Mezinkas. What exactly does he do well?

Meznieks is fine so far.
longdistanceeagle {l Wrote}:That's actually pretty ironic; Rhoomes had committed to TCU when JC was there, but wasn't eligible right away. That's how he wound up at Fordham. If you saw Rhoomes before and after the game, he embraced JC, Coach Wu, and Chip, all of whom he got to know at TCU.

this is why if we held a new poster of the year award, lde would win in a runaway

This was certainly a good win. We should also win handily against NH. However, after that there will not be a single game on the schedule for which we are not significant underdogs. Maybe we can pull a few surprises. Go 's
Logitano {l Wrote}:Nice win from where we were a few weeks ago. Santa Clara and Umass lowell?! Diallo's contribution was huge! However, he was 0-4 from the charity stripe (they were not even close) and if you are scouting him just use hack-a-shaq. Our 3 point shooting was timely but not consistent. Clifford played very well and did not look injured. Not that bad of a crowd. If they could have had the game at night or on the weekend probably would have been a decent draw.

Christian's primary job after UNH is going to be not to lose the team between January 2 and ~ February 17th. Obviously try and win as many as possible, but make sure Carter doesn't lose his shit and revert back to what he was before the last two weeks. On paper, I think ND at home, FSU at home and Syracuse at home are the most like Ws in that stretch, but the reality is that to win games during that period, BC is going to have to play out of their minds so the opponent probably doesn't make a tremendous amount of difference.

I'd say he was between 80 and 90%

Its only 12 games into Mezinkas’ career, he hasn’t seen a minute of ACC play yet and furthermore has displayed some talent, calling this kid out is nonsensical. You must be on the stump for your next round match-up, trying, albeit in vain, to prevent your cornering by Eaglekeeper.
While Mezinkas hasn't been playing like a 'diaper dandy', he wasn’t brought in to fill that role. No, he was recruited with his future development in mind, specifically, him becoming a solid 8th/9th man by his junior/senior year. And from what he has shown thus far, nice touch shooting and passing the ball to go along with a solid on-court demeanor, I have no reason to question his recruitment.
If he develops into a guy that contributes 10-15 minutes a game, allowing the starters to get some legitimate rest, helping to prevent the second unit’s ball movement from grinding to a halt while not being deficient on the defensive end, then this team will be in very good shape.
It’s pretty simple; he has shown enough talent that you shouldn't be taking shots at him this early into his career. It's almost as if you are trying to compensate for something...

You always tend to overreact don't you?lol Meznieks has been the most consistent freshman after Robinson.

I don't think he's awful by any means (he'd be like the 4 best player on last years nightmare) but I don't really understand what his role is out there. Him not being Garland Owens makes any minutes he gets fine with me at the 4.
No, you can criticize the players, the criticism has to be warranted though.
Mezinaks not having a defined role at this point shouldn't be surprising..... It's a team full of freshman who all are all still trying to figure out their own roles on the court while lacking the senior leadership and coaching continuity that helps catalyze the development of a young team's on-court identity. Obviously, a team's identity and the roles of each player are dependent on each other, so until the foundation of this team, Robinson and Turner, better define their roles, aka not deferring as much etc, and until Christian is able to fully implement his system, it is unfair to expect a bench player like Mezinaks to be able to adequately find a role that maximizes his value. Considering the circumstances surrounding the program, it's not logical to expect a 8/9th man, system based type recruit to demonstrate immense value from day one.
Furthermore, I doubt Robinson and Turner truly establish their roles, aka stopping the deferring crap, etc, until they get comfortable playing with Graves. Once these three establish a game flow/chemistry within Christian's system, it will then be easier for Mezinaks to carve out a supporting role. I see him as being a more productive and much better version of Tyler Roache. He won't be pigeonholed into the pure spot up role that Rouche had due to his superior relative passing abilities and, though limited, his occasional ability to slash to the hoop.

Does the 9th man typically start? (This is no reflection on the player just on your shitty argument)

So only the starting 5 are ACC caliber? The argument is eepstein thinks mezieks is not an ACC caliber player and everyone else thinks he is/could be. So in order to be ACC caliber you have to start? By that logic, well, lots of good bc players have not been ACC caliber.
