dtwalrus {l Wrote}:W - Sep. 5 - Maine - Run HEAVY. Glorified OLine practice with Wade barely throwing.
W - Sep. 12 - Howard - Run HEAVY. Second glorified OLine practice.
W - Sep. 18 - FSU - BC with an effective passing attack playing off the run! Wade = MVP. Defense makes Golson look bad. Another USC-like marquee win. Fans getting amped. Winning the Atlantic seeps into the conversation around here.
W - Sep. 26 - N. Illinois - Daz's theme of closing and not letting opportunity slip away a la CSU pays off. Team pounds N.Illinois. Not even close.
W - Oct. 3 - @ Duke - Developing swagger. Duke's new QB can't find a receiver and BC's D just absolutely stuffs the run. Defensive grind, but a win.
W - Oct. 10 - Wake Forest - BC is just all around better than Wake Forest. But this game is scary close due to the grind and fatigue. Start feeling the need for a bye.
L - Oct. 17 - @ Clemson - Close for a half, but the lack of depth starts hurting BC, who starts getting beat on the lines. Wade's first true ACC road game is borderline-traumatic.
W - Oct. 24 - @ Louisville - Sgt. Slaughter rallies the lines and the defense causes nightmares for Louisville's rookie QB. This time it's BC forcing the INT's and walking away with an easy one.
L - Oct. 31 - VaTech - I don't think VT is going to be great this year, let alone even better than BC, but this game is a defensive slop-fest and has all the makings of a letdown a la FSU in '07. A few turnovers/special teams play cost us a close one.
W - Nov. 7 - NCST - The Pack start 4-0 by feasting on cupcakes, but come dangerously close to dropping 4 straight against Wake the week before. Shaky confidence and BC anihilates them.
W - Nov. 21 - @* Notre Dame - The bye week is a blessing and BC's theme of "Finishing" kicks into high gear. BC runs away with it. Blow out at Fenway!
W - Nov. 28 - @ Syracuse - Tiebreakers over FSU and Lousville as well as only 1 division loss suddenly leave the Eagles with a trip to Charlotte on the line...and a fanbase very nervous to have to go to Syracuse to earn it. But we're treated to The Darius Wade show. Dominant end to the year.
L - Dec. 5 - ACCCG - GT - Great game with both teams showing more shiftiness and flash than the dull grind that will be predicted by the pundits, but we just come up short in a high pressure 4th quarter.
W - Russel Athletic Bowl vs. Texas - The media makes this a must win for Texas considering the "inferior ACC opponent." The team feeds off the bulletin board material and Daz gets a (big time) bowl win.
Final Record: 11-3 (6-2)

W - Sep. 5 - Maine - after wade lines up under RB on the first series he settles into a nice rhythm of running the ball and throwing boring passes. bc chooses to light up walsh in red in honor of the shreddening on "handsomeness appreciation day"
W - Sep. 12 - Howard - BORE - RING!!!!
L - Sep. 18 - FSU - with the first game being played at actual college football speed the defense finds themselves on their heels for a handful of quick scores. the offense can't make up the quick deficit but covers the spread with a meaningless td in garbage time
L - Sep. 26 - N. Illinois - boneheaded playcalling/clock management costs us the game in the 4th. assholes like tre and others not on the "daz is the greatest coach of all time" bus point to a common gripe from seasons past. the bitter bitches are told to shut up... it's better than spaz
L - Oct. 3 - @ Duke - the high school football stadium finds another victim for the devils. sadly, the only way to watch the game will be hitting refresh on the yahoo sports ticker
W - Oct. 10 - Wake Forest - even riley's snake couldn't save this wake team.
L - Oct. 17 - @ Clemson - limericks touting "rocketship" and "67 second knockout" will pepper the days leading up to the game. it's too early for clemson to clemson this game away so i think its going to be a track meet
L - Oct. 24 - @ Louisville - better ingredients, better pizza
W - Oct. 31 - VaTech - beamer's farewell tour... especially since his goit is rotting away in some miami area prison
W - Nov. 7 - NCST - why can't we alternate our nc divisional games... once at rcc in odd years and one in winston salem in even years. state makes a boneheaded play late in the game to let bc back into it and hearts are dashed in rolly
L - Nov. 21 - @* Notre Dame - shitty weather doesn't keep sully's soldiers away. this game plays dumber than a hockey game in fenway and guarantees no one will be talking about it for years (or even days) to come.
W - Nov. 28 - @ Syracuse - gobble, gobble - we're .500 bitches
L - independence bowl vs. kentucky (after appeal that NO ONE wants to go to shreveport so they might as well send a team that doesn't travel anyway)
Final Record: 6 - 7 ( 3 - 5 )

by saying we were going to a bowl i've been placed on the "not going to a bowl" list.
i don't have a whole lot of confidence in how this contest will be tracked for the season. i'm also going to assume that the rules will change at some point just to fit your will? i respect that

WEEK 1: BC 24 - Maine 3
Preseason Board Predictions - 100% predicted BC would win.
Winners: Everybody!
Losers: Nobody!
Prediction Highlights:
- 25GeraldRd did well with "O-Line looks shaky and we hardly pass, but the D suffocates and our RBs make guys miss"
- tallsy on the money with the in retrospect obvious "Weak 1st Half, but take control"
- EagleNYC half right with "everyone is happy but the QB agenda crowd"
- On that note, footer20 also had "Wade looks shaky but the defense dominates and Hilliman/Outlow/Willis all impress on the way to a sizeable victory. Troy the GOAT Flutie completes a down and out in garbage time that sends EO into absolute pandemonium."
- And EagleDave with "Fuck this game" sums up my feelings on copying the quotes for this one...
