I actually would just like to point out that every year teams with 2 FCS games on the schedule appeal the NCAA for a waiver to play in a bowl with only 6 wins. NCST successfully petitioned the NCAA for this a few years ago. Usually I think these petitions go out in November, when there's a better sense of how many bowl teams vs. slots there are. With BC only scheduling the 2nd FCS game at the last minute due to a FBS game dropout, BC will DEFINITELY be appealing to be bowl eligible with only 6 wins. And I think there's a decent chance they would be granted it.
So just a hunch, and I know it flies in the face of popular opinion around here, but I would bet on 6 wins being enough for BC to get a bowl spot this year.
