I like that Kelley keeps whining about this. Talking about how it was blown coverage and not PI. The fact is that it was horribly blown coverage and would've been an easy game winning touchdown... Even without the incredibly obvious two receivers blocking instead of running routes.
I also like the incredibly self-serving, blindly obnoxious argument he keeps throwing out there that goes something like: we ran the play exactly like we coached it, and Notre Dame doesn't coach illegal plays. Just beautiful.
FOX Sports rules analyst Mike Pereira watched the tape and said officials made the correct call — both Prosise and Will Fuller's "only intent was to block" on the play, Pereira said.

This.
Put it this way... in an era of Millennial contrarian-for-clicks bloggers, there is surprising unanimity on the call being correct. Brian Kelly is saying what he needs to say in order to keep ND in the hunt for the playoffs. BTW... I still cannot believe that was ND's first road game of the season. Pretty bizarre that a team is allowed to compete for the playoffs without playing games on other school's campuses.

On an aside... Golson is effing awesome. AWESOME. So much better than Rapeis. Reminds me a lot of RussWill. His lilliputian height is going to hinder his draft stock, but the kid is going to have the best NFL career of any ND QB since Montana graduated in 1979 (which isn't an accomplishment as he only has to be better than part-time starters Rick Mirer and Steve Beuerlein).
