Would love to see them not make the WC.

Was just reading a simulation analysis that has them as a coin flip to make it to Brazil (at all--only around 21% to qualify directly without having to go through New Zealand). Mexico failing to qualify for the World Cup would be Notre Dame's 2007 and 2008 seasons x10000000 on the schadenfreude scale.

coin flip as in 50-50 shot?
or coin flip as in a way to actually break the tie?
Because right now, both Panama and Mexico have 8 points (each have one win, two losses and five draws). They're also both at a -2 goal differential. I think that whoever wins the Panama Mexico match next month should have an advantage (they tied earlier in Panama), but if their next game ends in a draw, too, this could really go down to the wire.

eagle216 {l Wrote}:Will Costa Rica go balls out for their final qualifying match at home vs Mexico? They have already clinched.

Although I enjoy watching the sport, this is what I hate about soccer (and the Olympics for that matter). There is no way that a third world country like Brazil has the infrastructure or manpower (police, services, etc.) to adequately support something like the World Cup. It's absurd to think they do. Look, we get it, Brazilians love soccer, but that doesn't mean they can effectively host an international tournament that arguably draws some of the largest crowds in the world.
Stop being PC and keep the tournament in the first world with countries who can actually support it.

I, for one, am happy we chose to keep playing as it shows character. But, man would i have loved to see el tri knocked out of brasil.

I had a friend that went down there a year or so ago. He never felt in any danger, and if you like $20 cocktails, it's the place to be. Ridiculous amount of hot chicks.

When you say "hot," I assume you mean "less than two bills"

Went to the Azteca in 2005, 2009 and this yr. Saw Charlie Davies score in 2009. One of my proudest BC moments that I witnessed live.
Also, Rio in 2009 was expensive, I can only imagine how bad it is now. Truth about the women down there too.

A member of Chism's English class, Ariana Edwards, said Chism had friends, but chose them carefully. "He wasn't, like, too friendly though," she said. "He, like, only had certain friends. He wasn't, like, outgoing to everyone ... in classes he would only talk to, like, a select few people. And he was new too, so, like, he didn't have, like, the, like, amount of friends as everyone else."
