This is college hockey's biggest stage, one of the few chances at national tv (beyond NBC sports & obscure sports channels) and the rink looked like the 5:00 Beanpot game. Based on USCHO/etc it looks like people had trouble giving tickets away.
1 or 2 new teams? Agreed, very good to grow the base but 4 does nothing except push it further into obscurity.

barring some big strides in player development over the summer it is a good idea to have some tough competition for slots.
