I like the gag, but not when it happens to players that are wearing a Boston College jersey. important distinction: playas wearing BC jerseys? funny.
I like BC basketball.

2 things I'm really looking forward to next year
1) not needing the FR whoever they are to play 30+ min every night to be somewhat competitive
2) danny rubin relegated to garbage time

I'm not convinced another year is going to help thus group a ton. There needs to be miles of improvement.

It's sort of a hopeless feeling at this point. At least on the road. Maybe some home-cooked embalming fluid at the Conte Morgue will help them out on Sunday.

Oh we're on the same page, but now SO/JR will need 30+ minutes a night.

Rubin still shouldn't play regardless

As for the above, I think this team has lost patience with this season

The Duke game I can understand. This is an atrocity that has nothing to do with depth. The entire team didn't show up

Well, LJ made an appearance in the first half, for the first time in what - a month?

should make sure I note that he promptly disappeared again, but hey.

This team is just horrible on the road. Not sure how else to slice it. Tonight was a total no show. Who care what year they are? It's the same crappy players playing big minutes

We're winning our last 2 home games also. This team is totally different at home. I assume Greensboro is a road game which means a beat down

FWIW...2 years ago when Wood and Howell were sophomores and Leslie and and Brown were Freshmen...NC State was 15-16 5-11 in conference...They also had a couple of upper classmen filling the rest of the minutes (including their leading scorer).

1-9 on the road, 20+point losses to Duke and Carolina 39 point loss @Wisconsin (Yikes!)

I don't blame anyone for being frustrated with this team, but I'll wait 'till next year to :whiteflag

So in two years we could be an ACC also-ran and a bubble team? Thrilling. I can't wait to see what's in store four years after that.

...and therefore another four years of rebuilding and painful mediocrity with no guarantee of a different result. Yeah that sounds great!

I'm willing to back the Don for a really long time as long as he is good for Boston College and its student athletes.....I like the guy. I like his style. I like the guys he recruits. I like they way he wants them to play basketball. I want to win......with a healthy Clifford and a couple of more pieces I'm confident we will.

Beyond being more optimistic than most (some may call it delusion) I'm also more patient than most having watched my combined high school and college football teams win a combined 10 games in 8 years.........I'm sadly comfortable with moral victories.........

It's not worth it after a bad loss and since it appears that walls have been hit (Hanlan has no joined Rahon in looking burnt out by his minutes) and the wheels are off until further notice. A close loss doesn't show improvement over a bad lass but a bad loss does count worse than a close loss.

As always, it comes down to where you assign blame for the empty 2009 class, loss of all 2010 Skinner recruits corresponding terrible Donahue 2010 class and loss of Ravenel, Sanders, and Jackson. If you think Donahue is to blame for all or at least many of those things you have no reason to be patient because you blame him for the restart which you believe unnecessary. If you think the greasy one was primarily to blame for the blameable portions (Ravenel and Sanders bad blood due to Skinner termination manner, effect the manner of termination had on 2010 recruits who committed to Skinner) and some things are not blameable (Jackson taking his millions as a 1st round pick, Donahue's 2010 class after getting the job in April as an Ivy league coach who therefore didn't have a class to bring with him) then you accept that Donahue inherited a bad situation and has to rebuild and you are not concerned about this and last season.

Obviously, the mouth breathing eepstein section of the board goes no further than we used to get to the tournament, now we are bad, therefore the coach sucks and to them the blame for a rebuild is inconsequential. Time may show that Donahue really can't recruit, that this team really does stink or even that Donahue's game day coaching is flawed. For those who don't subscribe to ESPNisms, however, if you don't blame Donahue for the flat lining of the program between 2010-2011 then you give him another year to become at the very least a bubble team, just like you said last season and during the summer and fall and now the winter. If you do blame Donahue for said flat lining then your impatience is justified.
