If you call almost 200 yards given up great, sure. Granted, it was in a freaking monsoon, but I don't see how giving up 5.5 ypc is a great job in any weather.
So one game you really nailed. Another (miami).. .sure you can claim that.
You also omitted the FSU game where we got throttled and that came in the middle of this stretch of games you highlighted. Oddly enough, because we gave up a scant 127 yards.
Last year, our offense couldn't score on anything. By default, that does not mean our defense was good, in either half of the year. On the contrary, we had a mediocre/sub-par defense and a god awful offense.
But yeah, they are going to kick ass this year, I agree.
