I'd think Dingba and BJ Johnson will compose our 2013 class. That'd be good work also by the staff.

Has anyone heard anything recent in terms of recruiting for BJ Johnson? I know he said he was considering BC earlier and the offers didn't roll in as I expected yet, but I haven't really heard him talk about BC yet....or anyone for that matter

Him and Dingba's recruiting have been extremely quiet.

They both claim they're totally open.

He'll probably be a Top 100 kid in 2014. 6'10" that can shoot the 3 and go inside. Apparently he's having a great AAU Circuit. The Notre Dame offer is probably coming soon and as I recall Kansas State already offered.

Thank you; it's nice to know someone finds me helpful. As for predicting signings: I get my information on the players from a variety of websites, but I have no way of getting inside the heads of high school kids. I have my hopes, of course, but I'm in no position to make even a semi-reliable prediction.eepstein0 wrote:I'd think Dingba and BJ Johnson will compose our 2013 class. Dingba and Johnson would be a very good class, and a substantial step up in recruiting by the staff. The problem there is in the numbers.eepstein0 wrote:BCEaglesFan wrote:According to the TOS, BC is in great shape with Cimino. He visited BC a couple of weeks ago, and he LOVED it.

This is what I mean; Cimino would be a terrific get, but he's far from the only blue-chip prospect we have a shot at in 2014 (Joseph, Terrell, Abu, etc.). If we get Dingba and Johnson, we'll have only one scholarship slot left for 2014, unless someone transfers out, and at this point everyone left on the roster seems to be a happy camper. I don't know whether Donahue would "encourage" anyone to leave, but right now (and for a long time before, as we all know) the shortage of scholarships due to the 2015 pig-in-the-python is looming as a very serious problem.

Would you rather have Cimino or Dragevich? Because that's what it sort of comes down to.

A remarkably confident assertion which seems to suggest picking two from among Caudill, Heckmann, and Odio. This would do wonders to relieve the scholarship log jam; well, we shall see.

People need to set aside the players they'd like to see transfer (because they're not good) and the players that actually might transfer. Naming Odio & Caudill because they were the two worst is sort of pointless because they could be thrilled at BC and have no intention of it.

I don't see Caudill transferring, not can we afford him to do so. Heckmann is a prime candidate. As is Odio - this time last year, epstein would have been telling you you are stuck with Moton.

All I'm saying is that you can't say that all the worst players will transfer.

If he can't play at BC, how could he play at UMASS. UMass is much better than BC!Shaddix wrote:eepstein0 wrote:RedBaron67 wrote:twballgame9 wrote:At least two players will be gone after next season. Book it.

I don't really see any of the Cali kids transferring, could see Odio going to a Umass or Holy Cross just for playing time reasons. Seems like he loves Boston. If Heckmann doesn't pan out this year, then he could go as well...but I think he will be fine. Odio leaving would be pretty great though, especially if BC can lock up Dingba and Johnson this year so that they are still in it for Terrell and Malik-Abu next year.

BCEagles25 wrote:look, Odio may never be a starter, but he was offered a scholarship and now he's an Eagle. it's not very classy to encourage him or anyone to leave, BC is better than that. for all you know these kids could be really hard workers and love the heights.
