Student Ticket Prices Going Up

Must have been that great year last year that justified this...

It was nearly $400 when I graduated, before you calculated Beanpot, etc

Absurd.

Last year kids were barely coming into the game and leaving at halftime, I'm sure they'll get them but student support (I'm talking football exclusively) has really taken a nosedive in the Spaz era.

I'm not blaming them either

Do they still send out that postcard over the summer saying "check the box for the sports you want tickets to, mail it back and we'll charge it to your account"?? They stopped that before my senior year (05-06), at least for hockey and basketball, but heard they brought it back a few years later. If so they can charge whatever they want, kids will just send the postcard in and their parents will get the bill.

They did not have that in my 4 years

i heard that postcard now arrives as an insert to the quiddich catalog so none of the nerds can find it

Wouldn't that ensure that ONLY nerds can find it?

Who the fuck would pay more to see this sinking ship of a football program? If any price changes should be made after the last three years of dismissals, cover-ups, and missed field goals to lose to Duke, it should be on the decline!!

To the athletic department, I have this to say to you:

I like BC basketball.

My freshman year they gave you tickets with pictures of the football team. Now you just get a link to print out the tickets yourself.
I have faith in Addazio. He brings intense energy to the program, something we desperately need.

My favorite thing was when they didn't get around to sending the student tickets out until after the first home game. I believe that was my sophomore year. :elephant

I don't remember the package cost, but in the late 90s, student football tickets were $10 each, hoops and hockey were $7 each.

Starting in 1996 if memory serves me right you could buy the triple package of season tickets during the summer putting them on your tuition bill. :ace

I remember this being the case for the early to mid 2000's (Philly can correct me). The postcard/tuition bill worked for the first few years as well--I remember getting and mailing it in May while we were still on campus. I think the ticket price increases shot up with the start of ACC play and that's also when they switched to Internet sales for the basketball and hockey. Athletics underestimated the demand for basketball tickets in 2005-06, leading to the system crashing and the "camp out at Conte." Even then though, I don't think tickets were nearly as expensive as they are now.

I heard this through some students and even heard suggestions that they may not buy tickets. I think in reality all the football tickets will be sold, and basketball attendance can't get any worse so that'll still be dictated by their performance. Just another slap in the face that will go unchecked
