As I and others have been saying for about 9 months, my guess here is that Montel finally told them that he is planning to pull a Russ Wilson and transfer some place not coached by Spaz. Spaz and GDF aren't happy and I assume that this is the natural result. Since they can't play the "retire due to illness" card, they opted for another smear by citing some BS repeated team violations. Sickening... pathetic... but not unexpected.

Would exploring possibilities for a 5th year at another school constitute breaking team rules?

Does he need to graduate from BC to be eligible for a 5th year as a graduate student at another school?

Don't know exactly what transpired but this sure looks like shitty treatment of the schools record holder. If I was a prospective BC student athlete I'd be thinking if thats how they treat the school's best how will they treat me? Putting Montel out with the tuesday morning garbage.

I'm betting he told the school he was leaving (now that he secured his diploma). I'm guessing the "repeated violation" will eventually be spun as "faking an injury" so he doesn't have to play for Spaz. What is truly sickening is that no matter what he does... no matter HOW EFFING BAD HE ACTIVELY RUINS MY ALMA MATER... no one is going to do anything to Eugene DeFilippo. This combined with the schools mistreatment of Ifeyani (oops we forgot to file the right papers with NCAA). If im in HS, im not even considering this train wreck as a potential destination. What a bunch of fucking cowards.

Does the grad student transfer rule let you go anywhere without having to wait a year, or is there still the condition that your destination has to offer a program your current school does not?

Does Montel have more options if he is involuntarily dismissed and enrolls elsewhere versus the transfer process?
