BC vs. Merrimack, Friday Game

Postby wolverineneshl on Thu Feb 16, 2012 8:29 pm

The last time, they played, it felt like a loss when MC tied it up at the end. They have 2 chances this weekend and BC hopefully will play well on Friday to jumpstart the weekend and end it on Saturday in North Andover. MC doesn't seem to generate a lot offense but they do have solid goaltending and team defense. If BC can jump out to a lead and put their foot on their throat, they should win, otherwise we could have another one of those games. BC only generated 2 goals in regulation against BU, so let's hope they get more than that on Friday night on their home ice.

York goes for #900, unfortunately won't be at either game this weekend, going skiing on the long weekend.

For those who haven't seen Merrimack (they're rarely on NESN), it's all about defense for them and it relies on SR. G Joe Cannata. They have scored the 2nd least amount of goals in conf (54) infront of only UVM who sucks, but they're #4 in HE cause they've allowed the least.

They were able to squeak out a tie last time we played them in January.

Let's grab 4 points and a nice lead in HE

I'm debating making an "EO congratulates Jerry on 900" poster for tonight. Any better suggestions?

That works and maybe Eagleoutsider.com on the other side. Recruiting!

Yeah but at the rate we're gong they'll probably commit to be members at the game and then have a change of heart and sign-up at TOS.

OK, let's do it again in North Andover and get the lead first and add a couple of more goals. MC does not generate a lot of offense so let's put the foot on the pedal and keep it going. I will try to get there early and get a ticket in that small rink.

BC sweeps MC with a 2-1 win tonight.

They have their fate in their own hands, if they win out, they finish in first.

Games vs. Providence and Vermont left.

Although they won tonight, they did not play well and fortunate to sneak out a win vs. punchless Merrimack.

Will drive down to Providence on Friday.
