'03 grad. Watching BC beat ND in '02 is something I'll never forget. I hope these kids have the chance to get some type of signature moment that they can look back on fondly.

It's a damn shame that these kids are having their season/careers ruined by an incompetent head coach. Hopefully, the administration sees the writing on the wall and avoids completely imploding our program. It can be tough to turn things around once things tank, especially for a cold-weather school (see Syracuse).

All that said, all the BC fans I know are also behind the kids 100%. It's funny that I had this exact conversation with my former BC roommate the other day. I feel worse for the kids than anything else.

On the other hand, things can turn around quickly, especially if Chase figures it out. With a new coach next year, things could be very different, so there is no reason that there cannot be a little optimism in the face of a so-far disgusting season.

If there is not a new coach next season, the AD should be shot.

My heart goes out to these kids, it really does. Don't hang your heads guys, we got your back. Play hard and don't give up - that's all we ask. Godspeed.

And it robs BC of creating future fantatics who will troll these boards in 15 years or whatever and pay money to the school. The lack of good football is costing BC millions now and even more later. It's like a lost generation type of thing akin to the crap in Japan in the '90's.

as a current junior, I have to say that college gameday and watching montel run train on FSU my freshman year was definitely my top moment. But yeah, other than that, my classmates and I are being forced to suffer through the entire spaz era.

'09 really wasn't TOO bad. The team was mediocre and Tranquill's offense was boring but the team was scrappy, young, and there was enough Jags/TOB-era talent left over that the team wasn't completely putrid. Most of all, Spaz's first 1.5 recruiting classes (his closing out of the '09 class and his first full class) were pretty good and there was hope for the future. It wasn't until 2010 that the wheels officialy came off.

i would agree with this right up until the halftime interview after -2 yards of offense in the clemson game. many point to "cookies and naps" or "what kind of dog is that" as the turning point but for me, i knew we were truly dead when i heard "it could get ugly out there." that's when i knew we had a man in over his head that had no way of catching up

whenever i walk my mixed-breed dog and someone asks me "what kind of dog is that?", i burst out laughing.

They know... or at least, Spiffy Evans does. He responded to a message from the @FakeBaldwin account directed to hisself, Montel, Chase, ALJ, Andrew Williams, and a couple others linking to this thread saying "thanks for the support." I could have sworn I saw him retweet it last night too, but now it's deleted.

Knowing what we know now, which is nothing about Wang's disappearance, this thread reads like it might be a cry for help.

A cry we, mostly TRE - who was distracted by thinking about where to seat oncore will at his wedding - failed to answer.

It hasn't been said in this thread yet, and I don't bring it up in response to anything I've seen in the press lately, but I think one thing that bears mentioning as the season continues to spiral southward, before any more players thinking about speaking out actually DO it:

Guys, don't make the mistake of blasting the staff or administration or even each other. It'll only undermine your future playing time or status in the program. Keep your heads down, keep playing hard, and let US rip the coaches for you. That's what WE'RE here for; that's OUR role. Hopefully, our anger and frustration will eventually get you guys better coaches. Seriously, yours won't. All it'll get you is drummed out of the program.

Does this mean that Spiffy realizes that TRE punched an old man in the face?

Watching NCAA Classics, BC vs. ND. Coughlan vs. Holtz with Pete Mitchell, Foley, and Mamula on the team. Right now BC is up 10-0, game was televised from South Bend with ND ranked #1. Shades of BC Glory from yesteryears.

Look for me. I'm in the End Zone seats (Gordon's kick came in our direction). You can also see me storming ND's field after the game, celebrating with players and plenty of other BC fans that also made the trip. We certainly had a coach that did everything in his power to drive the team to win. Most of the current players and students don't know what that is.

In these times of additional turnover, I just want to reiterate that what gets lost in the shuffle of the frustration of the fan base and alumni with the admins and coaches is that we are ever appreciative of the efforts of the student-athletes. Keep working hard!
