I heard that hiring a career assistant in the only revenue generating sport who's nearly a senior citizen and has never demonstrated the ability to be a head coach was a good thing. Especially with more qualified candidates available (Golden, London, etc). Oops...

While I agree hansen's statement was somewhat extreme and absolute, Gene is an embarassment. I like the Donahue hire, but he is destroying the football program. And he does not get credit for the success of the other programs.

It should say something that the program he's most involved with is in the worst shape
