Chile REALLY stifling Brazil 25 minutes in...did I speak too soon? Probably not, but it's worth noting that Chile didn't show up for a televised ass raping either...

That was a lot of work for Chile to be unraveled very quickly...

On to Brazil-Netherlands!

Teddy just like Cristiano's thighs. Either that or he thinks Ariaga II and Pizzoza are real.

I'm just amazed that Cristiano can still play while dealing with polio.

Watching Brazil after watching the US is a bit like watching last year's Saints after watching BC. US soccer has gotten better, but the gap is still staggering.

Can you believe the US nearly (probably should have) beaten Brazil last year in a competitive tournament at full strength? I'm still not quite sure how it happened...

How do you make the Round of like 8 and never score in 3 games? Shootouts?

What a pussy sport.

Thank the fuck christ Portugal is gone...what a disgusting display of soccer. Playing 1 way for the entire game shouldn't be praised...they're the reason that casual sports fans don't like soccer.

Now that all the pretenders have been weeded out, we're down to the money games. There are some scintillating quarterfinal games...

it is possible for a team to not score a single fucking goal in any World Cup Game and win the World Title.

You can 0-0-3 in the first bracket and get into Round 2?

You can win all your next 4 games in shootouts?

Yeah, soccer is a real sport and surely with 0-0 after 150 minutes and a point blank shootout is a great thriller championship like other sports.

Assholes.

You can do that in hockey too and finish with a minimum of 82 points and a maximum of 164 points.

Also, it's 120 minutes and if the teams are going to play like they did in the Paraguay-Japan match, there probably isn't a better solution then penalties. If the game keeps going it's going to look like the Isner match. Sure it's kinda cool to watch but the actual on field play will suck.

Potentially 2 of the next 3 teams they could play including tomorrow's opponent, the Dutch. They're really strong. Ghana/Uruguay will get dick stomped in the semi's by either Brazil or the Netherlands but Argentina, Spain, or Germany could all beat Brazil. Not saying they will, but this is certainly one of the deepest Final 8's we've seen...

Absolute war going on right now between the Dutch and Brazilians...great back and forth game...2-1 Netherlands with 20 minutes left in regulation. Dutch playing with a lot of confidence that they didn't have in the 1st half. They need to capitalize and look for the throat here...

The only people happier than the Dutch right now are the folks from Ghana and Uruguay who think they have a shot at the Finals now (newsflash: The Dutch are beastly, they have no chance). The only thing that changes about that semi-final is the aura of invincibility won't be present on the field now.

I don't think this Brazil team was as strong as the media said they were. I think they get the ND/Yankee/Cowboys treatment because of their rep.
