Should be a great Freshman class. Once again Jerry shows he is a man among men in division 1 college hockey.

If York coached football, they would have either beatified him or elected him pontiff.

Having Ulf Samuelsson's kid on the team isn't going to win us any more local fans.

You have some really good kids in that class, an all league defensive player of the year and a few guys on the US under 18 team.

On Whitney from ESPN:

A four-year varsity standout with the Spartans, the Boston College-bound Whitney is one of New England's top hockey players. A potential mid-round pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, Whitney has been a mainstay for the U.S. Under-17 and Under-18 National Teams the past few years. He was even selected in both the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and United States Hockey League drafts last spring, eschewing both elite junior leagues to suit up for LA as a senior.

Really says something about York and the program. When he gets a kid, he usually ends up with the whole family. Gionta, Orpik, Eaves, Whitney...

I know I'm missing a bunch.

Definitely speaks to the quality of person York is.

Should be interesting without Muse for the first month+. It must have been tough recruiting a quality goalie to sit behind Muse after Muse has sat 11 minutes in 2 years and is going to be staying for 4 years.

The only reason that Muse has played so much is because his backups have been completely garbage. How Margdolin (sp?) is a D-1 goalie is beyond me. And from what I hear the other kid they brought in this year isn't much better.
