BCEagle74 {l Wrote}:Canada has to win 4 in a row to get the gold.

They are still not out of it.

Miller just stoned them like Gary Cheevers, Ken Dryden, Billy Smith, etc.

Canada will be tough to beat twice, unless we get ahead again and our defense just kills them physically and oh yeah, IT"S MILLER TIME!!

Have to give Burke credit for not just assembling the easy all-star team. Did a great job picking a team, not the best players and realizing that USA hockey needs a youth transformation. You have the glue guys like Ryan Callahan & Chris Drury who aren't the best players in the US but are absolute beasts on the PK.

Have to give USA hockey :kudos beating Canada on their soil in juniors & again on their soil in the Olympics.

Silver is superb. Gold and beating the Cans twice would be magnificient.

They did. Crosby had young legs with all that talent.

Stanley Cup and Gold Medal. The kid performs in the clutch in the biggest games.

Champion.

Will post more tomorrow but have to be impressed in the direction of USA hockey. Win the Juniors against Canada @ Canada and nearly do the same in the Olympics have to make you feel that the program is going in the right direction.

Amazing game. I love this team. It isn't an All Star team,it is a hockey team. 2014 is the USA's to win IMO. Ypu lose some key guys like Rafalski and Langenbrunner but there are guys waiting in the wings to step in. I was really impressed with a number of the guys. I love Ryan Callahan's style of play. Same with Brooks Orpik. That guy gives it his all every single play and is willing to sacrifice his body to block a shot every time. Also that line of Backes,Bobby Ryan, and I believe Drury was very good the last couple of games. Really impressed with the Johnsons as well. They played very well. This country has a bright hockey future. On a sidenote Rafalski shouldn't have been on the ice at the end. He was exhausted and you could tell, and he let Crosby go right to the net. Also Corey Perry is a bitch.

Don't have TOI numbers but Rafalski and Suter were on the ice pretty much every other shift from the 3rd on and played very well. He got lazy on that one play and it cost them big time but overall I thought he played pretty well. It was seemingly inevitable that Canada was going to score in OT. They were dominating.

Yeah, but he looked very tired the whole OT. I do agree though he played a great game and a great tourney all around. I mean with OT though a lot of times if you don't have a goal within the first few minutes you don't see them a lot in OT. It normally goes to a shootout or another OT depending on what you are playing. If it went to a Shootout the US had it IMO. Miller was amazing.

With 4-on-4 for 20 minutes I would've been completely shocked if it went nobody scored in OT. Too much open ice for too many talented players not to score. BTW nice disappearing acts by former Bruins greats Phil Kessel and Joe Thornton.
