Not good news for the Bruins because it means the Caps free up almost $5 million in cap space for this season so they can add a D or a decent goalie before the trade deadline. They won't be able to get too frisky because Backstrom and Semin are going to require big $ this off-season.

Nylander has no fit with the Bruins either, he sucks and we have 4 really good centers already.

If there's one weakness on the Caps roster (besides the obvious lack of a backup goalie), it's back-line defense. As a Bruins fan, I hope that Alzner isn't an immediate solution.

The Caps started goalie (Varly) is nothing to write home about either really. Extremely streakier. Unfortunately Alzner could be an immediate answer, we shall see.
