win on sunday, clinch regular season.

leonard is now 5 behind gionta for FR record in goals. caps got a hell of a player, look forward to him doing donuts in angry dick's front yard

This. :ace

Seems unlikely. Besides which, the way I heckled Sonny Milano at the last Caps game I went to, my guess is they'll give my little culdesac wide berth. You always know you have done a good job heckling when you can get a teammate to chuckle at the target. I would also think that being drafted by the Caps means Leonard might stay for one more year. The Caps are an on-ice abortion. A craptacular collection of has beens and never weres, interspersed with a some guys who would be nice role players on decent teams...and Tom Wilson. All together for the three to four year project of dragging Ovi's corpse across the scoring champion finish line at what now appears to be a 20-25 goal per year pace. The Caps might not want to burn through Leonard's rookie deal during such a bleak and hopeless period and might want him to stay at BC for another year of "development".

I think the NHL executives are happy with the development they are seeing from their draft picks at BC. It is quite possible another year at the heights is going to happen. :ace

one again :ace knows

what a weird game, kudos to uconn for battling back. that was some ugly effort in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd.

well done by brown moving cutter off the leonard / smith line. really changed the period

looking forward to hearing umass coaches and fanbases bitch for 3 hours on friday

Cav was never the right "fit" to be our coach and I think that inspires him each time we play.

It was good to get scoring from others. 3 points from the man from Spring Lake!

UMess is a much better match up and we should be back to full strength. :ace

10 of BC's 15 points in that game came from upperclassmen; not surprising in a playoff game. Malone was a great pickup. A big hit from Gasseau seemed to turn the tide for a younger BC team that was getting pushed around.

Getting Perreault back and spreading out the offense would be huge.

Wood for UConn is a beast, and they should always be a solid team under Cav.

The wheel of umass excuses landed on lack of experience

‘ Half of [BC's] kids have played 10-12 games in this building. Our team hasn't. It's a big stage. We didn't want it to be an excuse but we didn't have the experience playing here. We didn't get a chance to skate here yesterday. But those are excuses.’

Makes sense against a very veteran team like BC

Great performance when you destroy the #2 team in the country. Love the job Brown has done, but let’s face it, BC has never won a Natty without also winning a Beanpot the same year. It is more likely than not that this tourney ends in absolute misery.

Meh, the Beanpole is the dumbest thing ever. No one with an IQ over 6 gives a shit about Northeastern's Natty.

the level of play between those two teams is so much higher than any other HE team.

for all the well deserved accolades the FR forwards get, fowler has been an absolute rock

bu getting the 2011 bc treatment and getting shipped out to some empty midwest arena cause of dumb hosting rules is perfect. see you in providence :pontif

also kudos to the nerds, have showed up all year. 7 sections where BU had 2

Just got back from Boston. The Fleet Center was absolutely electric and our :geek: were very loud and into the action.

BU outplayed us for a lot of period 1 and most of period 2 in my opinion (which makes me even more impressed with the outcome and fowler).

This team is a year ahead of schedule and I will take it. Hard to believe it had been 12 years since we last won a hockey east. I do not see a drought like that happening again under Brown. :ace

I can’t believe they put BU in Sioux Falls, and have Denver going to Springfield for their first round games. Seems silly since we wouldn’t play BU until the championship anyway.

it's because umass is hosting springfield and is guaranteed to be there + only can do first round in conference matchups if there are 5 teams from 1 conf in a tournament.

with umass locked in at 4 in springfield, bu had to be shipped west.

such a dumb rule, bc got screwed by it in 2011

BC won a NC before there was a Beanpot.

True, but since the inception of the Beanpot BC has never won a Natty without winning the Beanpot and HE. I would love to break that streak, but the odds are against it.

Well…this is unfolding into a Ceglarski-esque bed shitting of the highest magnitude and also demonstrates a truth that apparently escaped Brownie in constructing this roster. A team of completely untalented 24 year old losers and goons can grind down a team of Uber talented 18 year olds. This Michigan Texh team is a disgrace to the sport of hockey, but between the two lightning strikes that have us clinging precipitously to the lead, they have completely and totally dominated us.

Also, the call on Perrault was a disgrace and a prime example why most knowledgeable fans consider college hockey officials to be corrupt, incompetent or both.
