Maroons look decent. The white sweaters are still my favorite, but New Balance may have finally deciphered what colors maroon and gold actually are.

is maroon the color in the sweaters or the pants - and therefore, what is the other color

I think the pants are burgundy.

Getting destroyed by Bentley is not a good look.

Pants are maroon, the shirt is burgundy. The uniform is shit.

On the bright side, it looks like the question of who will be the number one goalie and who will be occupied with opening the door to the bench has been answered.

5 goals on 18 shots is not a good look for BC.
Very sloppy play.

Yes.
Luckily the problems this team has when they have them are not based on lack of talent (like in previous years).
Sloppy and stupid play leading to breakaway after breakaway or dumb penalties kept killing this team.
When they play within themselves very difficult to beat straight up.

This is a really mentally weak bunch that looks to be headed towards another unsuccessful season. Embarrassing loss tonight against UVM, but less embarrassing then getting prison raped by Bentley, so I guess it isn’t there most tragicomic performance.

Best win we’ve had in the last 5 years was by default.

A win is a win? Always good to beat MoJ's real alma mater!

6-5-1 is not very good. As I have said for a long time now this program has not quite been the same since Cavanaugh left. I dont know what he did since UConn isn't exactly prospering under his watch, but the difference before and after his departure is notable.

I have not been paying very close attention since this team seems destined to underachieve and perhaps not even make the tournament, but we play BU tomorrow evening.

Nice comeback win over the ugly ass, academically inferior end of Comm Ave, even if it was a bullshit penalty shot win. Two observations:
1. Tony Amonte’s kids are as kunty as he was.
2. Has anyone ever seen Albie O’Connell and Logitano at the same time, in the same place?

I see Head Coach Greg Brown arriving at The Heights shortly. He is having a pretty good year coaching Dubuque (1 point out of 1st place in the East with two games in hand against Chicago). My guess is that he took this gig after Quinn crashed and burned in NY to get a year or two of HC experience on his resume before York left. I don’t think there are any other really viable candidates. Buckley has no head coaching experience and I don’t think BC will ever hand the keys to an assistant with no HC experience of any kind after the Cedorchuk Debacle. Cav might have had a chance despite not being an alum if he had killed it at UCONN, but his results have been mixed at best.
I thought Dennehy might have had a shot. He did a great job at Merrimack to the point Merrimack got arrogant and forgot its place and let him go. His AHL results have been fairly dismal, although that was probably more a result of the shattered state of the farm systems. He did very well with the Binghamton Devils the year the pandemic shut down the season, positioned for the playoffs with a fairly crappy roster, but fell off a cliff the next year. With that said, he is highly respected within the Devils Organization and was actually promoted out of Binghamton to be the head of the Devils scouting organization (basically one of two Deputy GMs to Tom Fitzgerald). If does well in this position, he may be following Billy Guerin into the GM ranks. Would be hard to walk away from that to return to college hockey.
Other than that, I don’t know of anyone in the BC ranks who has the requisite experience without having a better/more lucrative position in the professional ranks. JD Forrest is the head coach of Pittsburgh's AHL franchise (Wilkes-Barre), but has basically been .500 for two seasons (although that seems to be more the product of Pittsburgh being a dumpster fire in terms of its minor league system). With that said, if he is a head coach in the AHL five years after retiring from professional hockey, he is probably being groomed for an NHL HC job, so I doubt he'd have much interest. Jeff Giuliano appears to be a fairly well respected assistant at UNH, but has no HC experience. Anyone else I am missing?

if we're keeping it in the family it's one of the two assistants when this thing was really rolling (cav was here long enough he counts)
as for truly externals, we pay york a lot more than leaman makes at pc

If you are going external then go hire Leaman. He has no connection to Providence (think he is a SUNY Gym Teacher School alum) and would jump for the hire salary and more prestigious program/greater resources, etc. Not sure if that will happen however. From what I recall, Gladchuk got a lot of shit for initially hiring Milbury (a Colgate grad) before Captain Filthy Mouth left for the Islanders a couple of weeks later. We have not had a non-alum as the head coach of the program coaching actual games since Fred Rocque in 1927 (Dartmouth grad/Canadian Mercenary), and he appears to be the only one since the first records of the program were kept in 1917. That is a lot of tradition to flush, especially with BU keeping it in the family.
I don't care either way. Minnesota went with a Notre Dame grad over alumni objections and won a couple of national championships. Wisconsin never cared about that sort of thing until Jeff Sauer made the alums mad, and Eaves one lucky bullshit national title aside, its been a pretty bleak run by Wisco standards in the Eaves/Granato era.

I have a source at Avon Old Farms that says Leetch is getting the nod.

No doubt shared during the Saturday lunch at the Winged Foot Grill Room.
