Another gutless, half-assed performance, by our shit ass hockey team. What an absolute waste of Joe Woll. Jerry and the whole fucking coaching staff ought to apologize to him for putting this collection of talentless traffic cones in front of him.

P.S.—McInnis’ kid would have trouble skating on the first pairing at Plattsburgh or St. Norbies. The fact he plays at BC is a huge indictment of the program.

See previous post. Applicable for last night’s game as well. No heart and no talent is a dreadful combination. Combine that with bad coaching and you end up in 7th place in what is currently a terrible conference.

I'm in for more punishment for Friday & Saturday in Providence.

Just ordered my tickets

BC is not selling tickets, you have to buy them online FYI

I think I've had enough of BC Athletics for this year.

kudos to jerry, husko & woll.

backs against the wall down a goal, down 1-0 in series. answer to tie and next night woll saves 37 of 38 in decisive game 3.

on to zoomas

I’ll give Coach Champion kudos for refusing to let this team go gently into that goodnight. With that said, not really looking forward to next weekend and think it is likely to end in disappointment and frustration.

no question they'll be the underdog but honestly didn't see them winning at all this weekend, especially after dropping friday night

they're the late game (which has been moved up to 7:30 and the earlier game is now 4:00 for some reason), interesting would assume BU / NU would be the bigger draw + give the benefit to UMass since they're the #1 seed

I’ve heard that NESN has a good say in this. UMass has more local alumni than the other schools, and they may be very engaged right now. I’d also guess that BC is still a better TV draw than NU and BU (with many alums being out of state/country).

It’s going to be tough with the injuries to McPhee, Rassenn & McBain. Both games against UMass were very close and Hutsko did not play in either game. BC gave away both games with unforced turnovers and stupid penalties. Physically BC matches up very well with UMass. Both teams struggled physically against UML and both got swept. BC has the edge in the goal and it’s tough to beat the same team 3 times. The injuries though could be too much for BC come the 3rd period, otherwise I like the Eagles 4-2 with ENG.

potentially ugly incident from this weekend:

https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/ ... gating.php

Hockey East is investigating a potential racist incident that occurred during last weekend’s Providence-Boston College quarterfinal series.

According to CHN sources, the remark was directed towards Providence's Vimal Sukumaran during Friday's game between the two teams. Game officials heard the incident and reported it to the league, though the specifics remain under investigation.

Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna said the issue has his full attention.

“I’ve spent more time on this since Saturday night than anything else,” Bertagna said, noting the league is still gathering information from all involved parties.

Per protocol, Hockey East is currently conducting interviews about the incident. Bertagna said the process has been slowed down because there is no audio of what happened.

Hockey East was unable to provide specifics due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

While there’s no requirement to announce supplemental discipline, Bertagna said that typically the conference announces supplemental discipline because those incidents, which are usually physical occurrences on the ice, are seen by the public.

Boston College won the series 2 games to 1 and will play in Friday night’s Hockey East semifinal. The Eagles must win the tournament to receive an NCAA bid. Providence still has a chance at an at-large bid.

What is this bull shit? Providence is a dirty team, always have been. HEA should be looking at all of the cheap shots Dugan dished out well after the whistle and after the 2nd period in game 2. There better not be any suspension for any BC player. Fucking ridiculous!

Go Eagles!

no suspensions. there's no one who can identify the player who allegedly said something.

Did our player say that he looked like a member of the Taliban or some such other racial slur? Personally, I would think it hilarious if it were a slur against Quebecois--the kid is apparently from Montreal, PQ--like calling him Frenchy or a Dirty Frog. I used to laugh uproariously when some Western Canadian guy would make disparaging comments about Mario Lemieux back in the day, but that era seems to have sadly passed even with Don Cherry still among us and own the air.

College Hockey News has a video which seems to implicate a BC player pretty directly. Obviously no audio of what was said.

This whole thing is a terrible look for BC regardless of what happened. Another example of athletic department incompetence.

I’m calling bullshit. First, because if they had the kid dead to rights they’d have the balls to publish his name. The fact that they have not means they are terrified of a juicy libel suit. Also, fuck Providence and fuck their coach. Outside of Marty Conlin, there is nothing good about that fucking pathetic excuse for a safety school to safety schools.

Well, the loss to Northeastern tomorrow is going to be excruciating. With that said, I am glad the kids didn’t fold in the face of the SJW mob and we didn’t do something stupid like suspend a kid on the say so of a piece of shit Providence player and his equally shitbag coach.

Team waiting for the postseason to finally play up to its potential. That was a gritty ass win that they grinded out. You can see they’re playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Yes, they did - they dominated tonight. The most damning question is: Where the fuck has this been all year?

I always had a faint optimism this season because of the talent that does exist, but paying to watch mediocre efforts and Thursday night blowouts at home really pisses me off.

That said, if they're capable of winning the HE Tourney, might as well do it.

They were really trying to blow it in the last two minutes but happy with the W. Hope they learn the high off the glass clear technique if they’re up late tomorrow.

You knew this team would fail when it really mattered. Good riddance to a gutless, cowardly team. The only stones they ever showed was insulting the Providence kid and telling the coach to get fucked. Hope there will be a little bit of a house cleaning on the coaching staff.

The assistant coaches need to go.

The list of players lost and decommits is alarming in the last 3 years.

You need coaches who can coach effectively and attract good players like Cav used to do.

If Cotton leaves that will be a big impact loss and better hope Knight does not decommit either
