HE Playoffs

So the real stuff starts tonight, sounds like BC is as healthy as they're going to be. Looking for a little revenge after last year's upset. UVM games have had the 2nd fewest goals of any team in HE so won't exactly be fascinating hockey.

apparently santaguida has gotten pulled in all 3 starts at conte? like last year, he gets lit up in game 1 and sneddon turns to another goalie.

apparently it got out that white is playing with broken ribs? lovely

I thought that since the penalty happened with under 5 minutes left in the game, it carries over as a DQ for tonight irregardless of the 'misconduct' call.

Where did you hear broken ribs? White was sitting in my section last weekend when he was out. He said it was a shoulder, and that he was maybe for that Saturday, but if they won, he would likely sit.

Interestingly enough we flipped pair wise spots with providence and back Into 4th after last night. I get that in the end, which ever one of us goes further in the playoffs is what Is going to matter in the end but interesting that it's that close.

so this script is somewhat familiar. win game 1, goalie gets yanked, uvm wins game 2.

white has been held without a point in back to back games for only the 3rd time this year. bc is 6-6-3 when he doesn't have a point, 19-0-2 when he does. only one goal in last 5+ weeks

There looked to be an awful lot of empty seats tonight. Anyone know why? Is it part of the school's so-called nerdification? Or is it that BC fandom has been made so apathetic by the football and basketball disasters? Back in the day McHugh was usually jammed.

It was the last day of spring break which puts a damper on the student attendance. The HE home ice playoff games always end up with this problem.

HE playoff games are always atrocious attendance everywhere.

jerry has commented on this in the past but it seems like this program doesn't get any benefit from the week off. 4-5 in the HE quarterfinal round since it started with all games at home, this is the first time BC has made the garden in this format
