Seems they have released a schedule for next week. Unfortunately no mention of the Hobey ceremony (or any Friday events for that matter).

The UML team was variously reported as averaging either three or four years older than the Eagles. Does anyone know where the Union roster puts them in average age compared to BC?

BC is the youngest team in all of D1 hockey. I am usually ecstatic about that as it bodes well for the future but we are losing our entire first line, including the best player in all of college.

Why don't you give us Gilmore's age in tenths of a year like you did for the Union guys. "A few months ago" don't mean shit to me.

I know, the hot tub wouldn't have been the same without me.

Anyway, many of you may think that Philly does not have much of a college hockey history. But please take a moment to read up on fellow Bryn Mawrian Hobart A. H. Baker. You know about the award, now check out why it is named the "Hobey Baker":

Impossible to say for sure, but I think it is becoming less and less likely. The Union president has sounded less argumentative these past 2 days as they've made some progress at the table. He has also promised to give people 24 hours advance notice of any strike. For now I'd still plan to use SEPTA if you are staying in Center City (I am), but have a backup plan (i.e., drive or take a cab).

I'll post it here if the union announces it will strike.

How prevalent are cabs in the center city area?
Also is uber popular (or even allowed) in philly?

Cabs are very prevalant, but if there is a SEPTA strike they will be in very high demand so you'd want to give yourself some extra time and be prepared to share one with others going the same place.

Uber is available. I have the app on my phone but I still have not used the service and I don't know about availibility. I just checked it and as of right now there are 8 cars within a 2-minute ride from my location.

The bars around the arena are fun but expensive (and it's really just 3-4 huge places including Xfinity Live, it's not a downtown arena so you don't have a dozen bars within a 5-minute walk of the arena like you do in Boston, DC, Tampa, Detroit, etc.). Plus, how often do you get to tailgate a hockey game?? We may check out the Alumni club thing for a bit but I've got the BC cornhole set ready and planning on just tailgating.

I'm actually in the process of moving out to California and shipping the Corvette. I'll most likely be in a beat-to-shit gold Outback with BC window flags

It's not a BC basketball game so no need for grocery bags (either paper for anonymity or plastic for suicide)

Tickets to the Championship game are now cheaper on Stub Hub than they are buying directly from the Wells Fargo Center website, at least for upper-level seats.
