Finish the welcome wagon into HE for the Irish with a resounding win by BC at home on Senior Day.

Game at 4 PM

Keep the streak going and maintain the #1 seed.

Hope from Saturday, they learn to finish off the opponent and have that killer instinct and not be passive with a 2 goal lead.

They were not passive with the 2 goal lead. Give Lowell credit, they are a very good defensive team. ND will be another big test for BC and a possible quarterfinal opponent. ND is playing for their NCAA lives from now throughout the HEA playoffs.

On the 2 goals UML scored they were passive. You can even see it on the replay, they played the perimeter and allow Lowell to take the aggressive moves to the net. You have to be aggressive on the forecheck and not stand back and let them take unobstructed shots into the shooting lanes. What it did was allow the shooter to use the BC player(s) as a screen so that Demko couldn't track the puck coming in fast.

Sure give UML credit but BC cannot play defense like that and not pay the price for playing defense so passive. That's why a team like Minnesota will light them for 6 goals playing defense like that.

I hate the everyone gets a participation ribbon style of the HE playoffs this year, but going into the last weekend there is still a ton up in the air (top 5 get a bye, bottom 6 play a single elimination game next weekend). Decent chance we could be seeing ND again in a couple of weeks.

Thought Matt Gaudreau looked pretty good this weekend, for as small as Johnny is, he still has 20 pounds on Matt. Should be interesting to see what Jerry does with a full deck.

Pretty disappointed how the season turned out for Evan Richardson, 2 goals in 4 games to start the season but since he has been plastered to the bench. Thought Jerry would turn over the bottom 6 much more but obviously can't complain about the results.

1 game in 20 days is pretty odd at this time of year, hopefully it gives them time to get healthy (Matheson).

Sounds like Matheson is going to give it a go Saturday night, he's been practicing all week.

Should be interesting to see what this means for the lineup, hopefully it's the same one we saw vs. BU at Conte
Linell playing F w Sit & Quinn, and a 4th line of Calnan-Gilmour-Silk

Something to watch is Gaudreau climbing the record books, right now he has a line of 29-34-63. He's 20 points away from the single season record, and already has the 3rd most points in a season during the York era (Reasoner 73, Gerbe 68). He's currently 20th all time in points.

Is there a chance Richardson might leave ? I'd imagine he is fustrated not getting any playing time.

I have no inside info but it wouldn't shock me if he did

Though assuming Gaudreau leaves, as of now (assuming Wood doesn't commit) there is going to be an open spot up front

4 out (Gaudreau, Arnold, Hayes, & Brown) & 3 in (Milano, Tuch & Sanford)
