We've learned Jack Parker will announce his retirement tomorrow after 40 years as Head Coach of Boston University.

Good. The only reason he didn't get fired for his teams behavior the last few years was because its "only hockey." That said, I liked the direction he took the team in and hope someone competent doesn't get the job.

Exactly. What a satisfying ending for a unmitigated fuck stick of a man. He has blown the National Championship lead he had over BC, he is way behind in conference championships and he went out on a 4 Beanpot losing streak. Were it not for Miami being the suckiest bunch of choke artists ever the last 15 years of his career would hve been an unmitigated disaster. As it is, he presided over a massive decline that saw the school he hates with a passion running rings around him as he stumbled his way out the door. Fuck him and fuck BU.

Parker begins the press conference by bitching that people "couldn't keep a secret" about his retirement announcement.

How appropriate if BC and BU meet one more time for Parker. Hopefully if they do, BC will prevail as BU has put a hurt on us so many times in the past, like in the 90s and all those Beanpots during that stretch.

BU beat MC 3-0 last night and BC won in the QF.

This doesn't deserve its own thread but what a trainwreck down the street.

Heading into the Christmas break, they sit in 10th place in HE only 1 point in front of Merrimack (who they took 1 out of 4 points against last weekend), and they got ass blasted by Bentley on Saturday in front of about 1,000 people.

Also from this weekend, they continued their annual tradition of kids leaving as Sam Kurker who left. Appears he suffered like Kevin Rogers as he was deemed "sick" for the past 4-6 weeks.

So tonight is Jack Parker night at BU and it's fitting that there's a rumor going around the interwebs that 9 players are suspended this weekend
