claver2010 {l Wrote}:Game on NESN at 4 after the Bs this afternoon
Huge one today after a big W last night.
Several players banged up (just like last PC game, they play a physical brand of hockey), highlighted by Wey taking a skate to the back of the leg late and "bleeding profusely", but everyone is good to go today (beside Patch & Hayes obviously).
twballgame9 {l Wrote}:Wow, this was a terrible performance through 2 periods; now it is a flat out embarrassment. Happens, I guess, but this was a big game not to show up at all on your home ice.
claver2010 {l Wrote}:I said to other puck weird0s after Hayes went down if York could milk 1 more trophy out of this group it would be pretty impressive. Then Wey & Whitney go down.
Off of Friday's lineup:
Smith-Mullane-Whitney
Gaudreau-Arnold-Straight
Sit-Brown-Dyroff
Linell (played D)-McMullen (didn't play friday, played 1 shift when it was 1-0 Saturday) -Silk
MacLeod-Matheson
Doherty-Wey
Jeke-Sullivan (didn't play Friday night)
Look we all knew this team incredibly top heavy before injury hit, they to lose 2 of your top 5 forwards and your most dynamic threat go ice cold and you're playing 4 FR D regularly, it's no wonder they are struggling.
Far from me to criticize York but these last 2 recruiting classes have been very very average at best. You have Gaudreau who fell into the programs lap, Matheson is a clear talent, Quinn's going to be a good 4 year player, you have the other FR D which are in various stages of development (including some that aren't going to play next year), & the rest -eh I'll pull an epstein here.
Mea culpa on Destry, my Lord. Sit has played 70 games, has yet to score a goal, that's pretty fucking difficult.
Next year's recruiting class (probably the best in York's history is much needed).
