Beanpot

All 4 teams struggling means its pretty wide open

Harvard is 5-14-1 but they did win at Agganis earlier this year. Their leading scorer is Jimmy Vesey who was gaudreaus line mate at the WJC

In the first game you have the Vinny Saponari vs BU dynamic. If BU doesn't win the beanpot this hear, it'll be the first time their seniors graduate without winning one since I believe the 60s

That'll still work. Appreciate the info. Early meeting tomorrow so hopefully this is a blowout

Very matter of fact, solid 60 minutes of hockey win.

Whenever you can get 2 goals from your 4th line and with the special teams you're in good shape.

Matheson makes such a difference back there, simply has offensive skill that no other dman does.

Harvard just isn't that good. Would've liked to see Silk make an attempt to block that shot that made it through.

York juggled the 2nd line to Hayes-Arnold-Whitney and it worked pretty well. Should be interesting to see how it comes out on Friday night.

Where was the NYC game watch? Is it in the same spot next week? I couldn't make it last night (so didn't bother looking for it), but will try for next week if I can get out of another commitment.

I had the misfortune of sitting next to the Harvard band. Holy hell, they are the definition of band geeks. Albiet, geeks that may one day manage me. While they had a good arsenal of 90s TV show theme songs at their disposal, they decided to lead cheers through the whole 3rd period and wouldn't shut up. And some champion behind me thought he was teaching them a lesson by yelling whole paragraphs at them. Imagine what it would sound like if IB gave his political lectures at a hockey rink. That caused the geeks to scream and yell more.

Then they didn't stop playing a drum beat while BC played the alma mater.

Anyhow, good win. I liked the line changes as I hadn't seen the VT game and thought Hayes skated pretty well with Whitney and Arnold when they made that shift. Though I do worry about that diluting the 3rd line again.

Also glad to see NU possibly end BU's season.

During the post game handshake, Vinny refused to shake Jack's hand. It was hilarious.

Saponari is a good player, was a stud on the 5 on 3 PK... Rawlings played great as well.

Ended up being Bounce Sporting Club (55 W 21st st nr 6th ave).

Free Bud Light drafts from 7-8 and then $3 coors lights for the rest of the night.
While not very lively as it was a huge space for 20-25 BC fans, it ended up being decent spot.

Hoping Joshua Tree is a thing of the past...

So for tomorrow, probably better Friday was postponed (weather aside) to avoid a trap game against a hot UMLOL team.

Big news is Colin Sullivan will be make his return from a concussion meaning we'll finally have 6 D for the first time in about 3 weeks.

It can be said for every game but especially against Rawlings the key will be a quick start. When he's on he can be very good but when he's off he can be very bad (just look at 3 weeks ago, 6 goals on 16 shots in a 9-3 BC win). A quick goal or two will get the "here we go again" from NU mentality

Nice to watch Coach Champion turn this thing into an absolutely trivial event. I think it is cute they gave the MVP to Roy so the Betardos could have something to hang their hats on.

Dick thoughts on the Quebecois Matheson?

He's such a difference maker back there for a FR Dman

14-0 for the seniors at that place, pretty fucking impressive.

Crazy thing about Roy of the fighting Betardos was he was supposed to go to Brown until this summer

BTW Harvard has won 2 games since November, both against BU. I hope Parker stays forever

edit: BU

Was the ice bad or something? Was driving me nuts with the number of pucks that seemed to bounce over sticks.

Good win. Could have blown them out but hit like 4 posts.
