claver2010 {l Wrote}:And now rumor is Kreider is being sent down, don't get it

He was sent down and then brought back up. I have had it with Torts. Whatever merits he has as a coach, he is terrible at developing talent. As the Rangers have actually stockpiled some young talent and look to be built for the next five years, they need someone who can develop it. I am now openly rooting for a collapse/rebellion circa the 92-93 Rangers when Messier and crew stopped playing for Roger Nielsen in order to get someone in there who could actually coach to the talent they had.

Tort is what happens when you put a greasy no-talent with a massive chip on his shoulder in charge. To the extent Slats is still a sentient being, he must think that Richards has enough respect in the locker room to keep the obviously crumbling morale from collapsing. Problem with that theory is that Richards has grossly underachieved this year despite getting long stretches riding shotgun with Nash and Gaborik.

He was called back up because apparently there are some questions surrounding Nash. Took a forearm to the head into the boards from Lucic (on the sequence where Nash took the hooking call later), stayed in and played against the fishsticks

Doesn't speak to sending him down though.

Sabres fire Lindy Ruff. Good, that guy stinks (now Flyers will hire him immediately).

May be able to hire Disco Dan Bylsma soon. Could be a lot of coaches on their ass after this year, per usual in the NHL.

Kreider sent back down.

Honestly it's better for him, he's not going to improve playing along Mashinter & Asham for 5 minutes a night

Yep. He was a mess against the Jets. Torts has destroyed him in the same way he ruined Ben Clymer in Tampa. I am now openly rooting for a complete collapse and a playoff miss. Torts has long outlived his usefulness as a coach and needs to be fired. Frankly, Slats needs to be retired to the Palm Springs golf courses he loves so well, but that is too much to hope for from a drunk like Dolan.

The funny part is that guy is a Canucks fan.

Still doesn't make what Claude said about the Frogs untrue.

It seems like Winnipeg has really had the Bruins' number since they moved. Fucking Blake Wheeler.

There are rumors the Bruins may be trading for Iginla. He was a healthy scratch tonight so it sounds like he's going somewhere.

Feaster just trolled the shit out us in trading him to Pittsburgh. Can't say I really fault Iginla as those Crosby and Malkin fellas are decent hockey players.

I went to bed hearing Iginla to the Bruins was being finalized. I woke up and he'd been traded to the Penguins. Not cool.

I wasn't even aware that Iginla was still playing hockey. What is he, like 67?

35. Having a bit of a down year but he's a notorious slow starter and has finished like the last 11 years or around there with 30+ goals despite having the likes of Matt Stajan pass him the puck.

But if that was a Jimmy Key Sportscenter reference, kudos to you.

It was, indeed. That said, I think it's 45, not 67, but oh well.

"Calgary" has a lot to do with my thinking he was old.

I think he may have went even lower with 40. Regardless, this is going to lead me down to the YouTube wormhole of 30 second Sportscenter commercials.

You're going to love Jagr on the Bruins then.

Toronto looked pretty bad last night and their goalie sucked. Why would you dress 2 goons (Orr & McLaren) in the playoffs?

Tappen is on the NHL Network, sadly. At least we still get to see her every once in a while.

Incredible comeback but Reimer really fell apart after Horton's goal.
What's the word on the 3 injured defensemen?

At the end, Lucic pounded on the Leafs like he was dating them. It will be interesting to see what Torts comes up with to keep him off of McDonaugh (not really worried about Girardi as he manhandled Lucic pretty easily a couple of times this year and last without getting goaded into a fight).

Broons slept skated through that whole series until the third period. And frankly, other than Lucic, pretty much the third period, too. He was pretty much responsible for the 2-4 goals, although Bergeron's shot was ridiculous.

P&S, the Leafs are god awful at hockey.

That was the problem all series. Reimer gave up a ton of rebounds but either Toronto collapsed and cleared them or the B's had no traffic. They get traffic and Horton pots one, Lucic puts home a rebound, Bergy gets it past Chara's screen and Bergy puts home a rebound after Seguin battled out in front. Was really pretty simple.

Yup. This and the fact that they needed more shots to create the rebounds. Felt like their shot numbers for the series were deceiving.

Of course this could all change should Staal be good to go, but I wouldn't be shocked if Torts split up Girardi & McDonaugh a lot.

Girardi is bionic.

There were a lot, just from the outsides. Not too threatening and easy stops for most pro-caliber goalies, Marc-Andre Fleury notwithstanding.
