I wonder if this will be enough to lure OJ back

I can't see the Caps beating the Bruins. They're simply not tough enough and the goaltending is sketchy at best.

I mean, it's just become a catchall NHL thread. Unless you are also surprised that the NHL is still in existence even though Gary Bettman still holds a prominent role in continuing to shape the league. Which is a more defensible position.

I'm missing Rangers game 2, thinking of DVR'ing it, avoiding interwebs/contact and watching when I get back to the apartment that night.

My favorite is Ference doing the science project.

I think this will be a good series. I like the caps chances. Am I confident they'll win...no. Do I think they can? Absolutely.

They're 11-1 this year when Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrsom, and Green are all in the line-up. And they beat Boston 3 times this year (all without Backstrom).

Either way, looking forward to it. Go Caps.

Surprised he took that photo considering the boat clearly does not conform to Andrew Ference's emission standards.

As a non-Bruins fan who watches a good amount of Bruins games -there are times I simply can't stand him.

When he compared the scrum at the end of game 3 to Weber on Zetterberg I wanted to throw a brick through my TV

Meh, he's like every other homer announcer. At least he calls an exciting game and there's nobody that calls a better fight out there. I think he'd actually be really good nationally but I doubt he'd ever get the chance.

Edit: Pittsburgh's are a ton worse. Boring and absurd homers.

Not to mention NESN's HD is subpar to say the least. When he said it may be their last Bruins telecast, I almost broke into dance.

Edwards sucks and he isn't in the same league as Sam Rosen. With that said, he is exponentially better than the Caps announcers who are hideously boring homers.

No but there doesn't need to be any prompt for anyone to bash the color guy whose voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard or Benninati or however you spell him. I do not like how he calls a game.

I find Edwrards' rants enjoyable. And New Jack Swing was one of Toucher and RIch's best segments. I wish they would do more.

Just look at it this way, you won't have to listen to Jack Edwards for the next 6 months

Hooray. I get to listen to Doc Emerick continue to confuse players at an alarming rate while giving us random, useless nuggets about said wrong player and Eddie Olczyk ramble on about non-sensical topics with the ultimate point being something about horse racing and telling young children to "look right here" on the TV like he's Greg Schiano trying to lure recruits into his candyvan or something. Fuck it, I like Jack. He calls a good game. He's a homer but he's excited every game and it makes it interesting.
