Congrats on the award. The kid was like a rock star at the rally. When I was leaving I noticed his crowd for autographs was still packed as most others were dwindling down to the last couple people.

1) Also funny that Milner's stats blow everyone away yet he wasn't even the 3rd best goalie according to his own conf...
2) Agreed, he was a rockstar. I think Jerry & Tommy only had longer lines

It appears that the USCHO made its selections after the NCAA tournament, in which Gaudreau became the national leader in freshman points and topped it off with that highlight-video goal. Timing matters; Nathan Gerbe would have gotten the Hobey if the committee had voted after the Frozen Four rather than before it.
