The Coyotes goalie (Smith) ought to get an Oscar after his performance so far in Game 2. Draws a penalty on Toews where he created the conduct, which led to a goal.

To top that, he gets out behind the net and puts his head down and Shaw collides with him, head to head. Smith goes down like he's been shot, stays down until Shaw gets a 10 minute game misconduct and a 5 minute major. Smith then pops back up and doesn't miss a second of ice time. Coyotes score on the ensuing power play. What a bunch of incompetent refs.

Okay good. I thought so but wasn't sure and, well, I support Thomas' ability to punch opposing players because I find it funny. Also, I was going to rip your other premise because Tuukka is still hurt and Turco was signed after the cutoff for UFAs to be available for the playoffs. So take THAT!

Oh, and Scott Hartnell, the Hogan-inspired shirts they gave out for the game and the Hogan message they played on the Jumbotron during that fight sequence was pure gold. Of course, should the Bruins advance and draw Philly, I will vehemently hate Hartnell with the passion of 1,000 suns. Of course I will always hate Briere and his and his childrens' douche faces. It's not like either team is playing that well. It's just that Fleury has had the uncanny ability to outsuck Bryz so far. Maybe world of trouble is exaggeration but, yeah, they need to step up their defensive game because they're not going to be averaging 6 goals against any of Boston or New York, should those two both advance.
