Frozen Four Thread

Bc cruised through Worcester. So, it'll be a battle of two blue-bloods in BC and Minnesota and a battle of two upstarts in Ferris and Union a week from Thursday. For better or for worse, BC should be a heavy favorite. Is or safe to assume that BC will be playing in the late game in the semis?

The Duluth game was pure dominance. Seemed like the only time Duluth had any chances it was because they were on the PP. Good stuff from Milner as well.

That was a prison rape on ice. BC strangled the best offense in the country to death tonight. The few chances UMD got tonight (off the power play) were snuffed out by Milner. I'm guessing BC snuffs Minnesota in a similar fashion and then pile drives the winner of the junior varsity game.

Wow they aren't even pretending the first game is on the same level. First game: 0 FF appearances, 2nd: 40

But then again 2007...

This weekend was a defensive prison raping. Funny to think about Milner's performances a couple of months ago and the questions.

Not bad for a rebuilding year huh?

Best game of milner's career. They made UMD look like an intramural squad. I already have Tampa envy.

I'm seriously considering going to Tampa. Does anyone know if BC puts together any travel package for students?

You're sort of on your own but I'd join here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/272791143362/ for updates on tickets, etc.

I was checking online, a package deal could be 600-700 bucks without a ticket. You should be able to get a ticket without a problem on the street or online.

I guess the thinking is that it sells out wherever they put it & are trying to build college hockey. Which is hilarious in light of ESPN broadcasting the tournament avoiding the sport like the plague.

Tampa is a disgrace that hopefully will not be repeated. Might be a different story if someone like Wisconsin were there, but I'm guessing the scene will be very reminiscent of the ACC Championship game from a few years back.

And on the subject of attendence, it was pretty sad to see all the empty seats in Worcester last night. Granted it was a Sunday night, but I can't believe there wasn't even enough student presence for a better showing.

On the topic of Milllner, his stats over the winning streak are ridiculous. His GAA must be approaching sub-1.000 and his save percentage has got to be around .975 now. That is crazy over such a large sample...

Its hard to believe we were 14-10-1 at one point. I give tons of credit to Milner and the D. He looks like he is always in the right position. Good coaching.

The regional system is so broken. These games have less energy than a RS game, hopefully they go back to campus sites soon but the issue with that is gene would probably decline the ofer

On the subject of attendance, $45 ticket, Sunday at 8, and the AD didn't subsidize nearly as many tickets as 2010 when there were 3 full student buses

I don't think so. Most of the tickets to these things are sold a year in advance to the thousands of fans who go every year regardless of location/contestants.

Exactly, this is an annual pilgrimage for many. Whereas the regional you only find out a week in advance and potentially have to take time off for

I hope you're right, but with a non-traditional site and some of the major players missing it could be very under-whelming.

Sold tickets does not necessarily mean full seats.

Starting with the class of 99, every graduating class has been to at least 2 FFs except the class of 2005

That is fucking absurd

If I didnt know better I would think you were angry about it.

I tried to explain to my wife that we have to go this year, because you never know if they will ever make it this far again. :)

Not a bad idea considering the locale and the recent weather we've had.

On that note, I don't understand the complaining about the location. Many people make this a yearly thing & with it being easter weekend there's some already built in time off.

I like Tampa, its warm and I can plan 5 days around it. Detroit may be cheaper but is a harder sell to bring a family of 4. (then again I could go on by myself) My only issue is the airfare, its ridiculous, for a family of 4, I am looking at $3000 for a nice hotel and airfare, that's without food, busch gardens or tix.

I can go to Vegas for $2g and live in style, or stock up on guns for the zombie apocalypse. If I win the lottery tonight I will bring anyone hear that wants to go.

I found $375 from Logan on Thursday to Orlando to La Guardia (easy to Fairfield County) on Sunday morning but I haven't been home in forever and my family would murder me if I dropped that bomb.

Looking at a nexus nametag gamewatch

I am taking heat for the family thing too. As big a religious holiday Easter is, It was never a big family holiday to me. I actually spent senior year in NH instead of home.

I can probably get a ride to Laguardia, but I plan on leaving Wed. I'll look into it as an option.
