@JeffMarek
CHL note - Cam MacDonald has de-committed from Boston College and has signed with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. No official announcement yet but it's done.

I emailed BC ticket office about fans since I renewed my football tickets earlier in the year.

Finally I got an answer, NO FANS this season.

Now I have to decide whether to roll it over for next season or get a refund.

Next, is it the same for hockey and basketball ?

I am waiting for the next reply from BC :violin

Glad to see a big uptick in recruiting, but they are going to have to either find 1st rounders who will stay a few years or they are going to have to supplement the first rounders with 21 year olds who will stay four years and can provide physicality and cohesiveness. Also, the current team--and this isn't Brown's fault--is absolutely painful to watch.

That's all awesome... but, Dick is right. We aren't losing games because of raw talent. We are losing because we have 19-year-olds going up against 26-year-olds. Brown is going to have to find a way to balance the roster where he has something like 40% 20+ veterans who will provide protection to allow the young'uns to flourish.

Looks like we may finally have an above-average goaltender. https://twitter.com/NHLFoley/status/1633524964895739904

Jan Korec is expected to be pretty solid, too.

big recruiting win, #2 player (james) in 2006 and his brother (michael) who was previously committed to harvard out of long island (but thankfully not italian see: milano, sonny). james is in running to be number 1 pick in 2025 draft.

BREAKING Boston College has received a commitment from the top uncommitted player available and the #2 ranked skater in the entire 2006-born class James Hagens. They also received a commitment from his brother 4 * 2005-born Michael Hagens. Absolutely massive for BC.

interesting point from the kid, apparently NIL package bc put together played a role.

https://thebostoncollegehockeyblog.blog ... to-bc.html

BC pulled off a massive recruiting coup this evening, landing James and Michael Hagens, out of Hauppauge, NY. The Hagens brothers were recruited by all of the big schools but BC, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Providence were the finalists. The older brother, Michael, was committed to Harvard up until about a month ago. I am hearing that there were a few factors that went into this commitment- first, BC is within driving distance of the Hagens home in New York- that mattered. Secondly (and perhaps most importantly), BC was able to present a compelling NIL offer to James. Up to this point, I am not sure how much of a role NIL has played in BC's recruiting but make no mistake, this was a recruitment where NIL was a major player and for BC to be able to step up in that regard is very encouraging.

I saw that and got really excited. I have a feeling we are in for a nice run of Frozen Fours if things keep up. Success snowballs.
