Fri 02/05/10 @ Massachusetts 7:00 ET NEED W TO GET SECOND PLACE

Mon 02/08/2010 vs Boston University (nc) 8:00 ET Would help in final RPI KRACH and NCAA Rankings

Fri 02/12/2010 @ Mass.-Lowell 7:00 ET
Sat 02/13/2010 Mass.-Lowell 5:00 ET --- NEED SWEEP OR WIN/TIE --Solid Coach and team this year!

Fri 02/19/2010 @ Northeastern 7:00 ET
Sun 02/21/2010 Northeastern 3:00 ET ---NEED SWEEP--not that tough this year 2-0-0

Tue 02/23/2010 Merrimack 7:00 ET --- Should be a home win. 9th Place Team.Fri 02/26/2010 Massachusetts 7:00 ET --- Home in this one, Need a W!

Fri 03/05/2010 @ New Hampshire 7:30 ET
Sat 03/06/2010 New Hampshire 7:00 ET --- --- NEED SWEEP OR SPLIT --TOP TEAM THIS YEAR IN HE.

If BC goes 7-2 in last 9 games or 6-2-1 that would give BC 36 or 35 HE points and maybe a first round win in the Hockey East Tourney may get BC a bid, and if we make the HE Final game, we should be one of 16. (BU is not a HE conference tilt)

That's all it takes.

One Seed. 4 Wins. National Champions.

GO EAGLES!!

Some absolutely huge games coming up for us. UMass is the #1 ranked HE team in the PWR at #7. As of now we are 1-0 against them, it is vital for us to keep a positive record against them.

BU is now a TUC and our record against them is 1-2-0, I know it's the Rat Dog Invitational but to get even would be huge for us and tough for them as they are going to need every break possible.

UML is interesting as they are #18 and came on strong last year as well -we struggled against them losing 3-1 at Lowell several weeks ago.

NU sucks, they cannot score. It was tough watching them on Monday as they just have zero offensive ability, their freshman goalie Rawlings looks like a keeper but that should be two easy wins.

While Merrimack has slightly improved, they aren't good away from their high school rink -W!

Hopefully the end of season series against the Mildcats will determine HE regular season title.

It will be vital for us to stay close to home (Worcester) as they will try to avoid conference matchups and we usually bring a home ice advantage out there.

It's all right in front of them for the taking.

PWR as of yesterday:
1. Miami
2. Denver 0-1-0
3. Wisconsin
4. St. Cloud St.
5. Bemidji St.
6. Minnesota -Duluth
7t. Ferris St.
7t. UMass 1-0-0
9. UNH 0-0-1
10. Colorado College
11t. Michigan St
11t. :screamyeagle
11t. Cornell
14. Vermont 1-2-0
15t. North Dakota
15t. Union
15t. Maine 2-0-1
18t. Yale
18t. UMass -Lowell 0-1-0
20. Michigan
21. Lake Superior
22t. St. Lawrence 0-1-0
22t. BU 1-2-0
24t. ND 1-0-0
24t. Minnesota

I'm pretty shocked that BC's big rivals, Northeastern, don't show up on those rankings.

7-2 is definitely possible …… My only concern is the Beanpot on Monday (at least it doesn’t count against us for HE, but it would be a nice building block like 2008) I also see a tough game in Durham, since we historically have a poor record @UNH. I see us as a lock as a #2 in HE (maybe neck and neck with UMA because they have an equally easy schedule) I think the regular season title might come down to SR night. BU/UVM/NU in the first round could be tricky if we overlook one of those teams and worst case scenario we go all 3 games, but I see no reason why we wouldn’t be in the championship game and a lock for the NCAA Tourney hopefully in Worcester.

BC has moved up to #7 in the PWR.

It's going to be very interesting come March time. BC is the only eastern team in contention for a top seed:
1. Miami
2. Denver
3. Wisonsin
4t. St Cloud St
4. Bemidji
6. Ferris St.
7. BC
8t. Colorado College
8t. Cornell
10t. Minnesota -Duluth
10t. UNH

Especially with the economy they are going to try to keep the top seeds near home for asses in the seats but no one in contention is close to Worcester. BC has a big following and if it keeps it up I could see them getting a high 2 and sticking a small team in Worcester.

BC all the way up to 5 over the weekend... Worcester is looking better and better if we can keep this up...BU is a TUC so a win would not only be big for obvious reasosns, but it will also help our tourney bid...

BC has to avoid Denver and Miami Ohio's brackets, maybe Wisconsin too.

These teams are more experienced and score more goals and are more physical.

BC may beat them 1-3 games, but 1 is all it takes.

If BC can get by UNH and get a 1 seed, then maybe one of teh big 3 get upset before the Frozen Four or Final 2.

As of this morning we are tied for 6th in the PWR after Yale's loss with NoDak. Something that could help us today would be BU losing to UVM (on ESPNU at 3 -will watch during commercials of :flagus :flagca ) because that would probably bump out our 2-2-0 record against BU and most likely move in our 3-0-0 record against UMass (they are currently #26). We will need to sweep the hillbillies to get the HE regular season title but even if we lose or tie on Friday, Saturday is still very important for the PWR.
