BC vs. Merrimack, Friday Game

Postby wolverineneshl on Mon Nov 12, 2012 10:36 am

Strange, only one game this coming weekend.

They inch closer to the record. Merrimack can be pesky like UMass, but BC should win even if it's a close game.

Looking forward to the rematches with BU in the home and home in a few weeks. It was fun yesterday at HAA and taking one in their house ! BU lately has a tendency to embellish of late. JP as usual trying to sway the refs. York is so much classier.

BTW, BC says they still have tickets for the Nov. 30th game at HAA. I will buy mines this week and I believe they're 26 or 28 dollars. If you buy through BU, they will tack on additional charges to make it over $30 for a ticket.

BC should sell out their allotment and pack HAA with as many BC fans as possible. This could be the game, JY ties Mason's record if they get by Merrimack and Dartmouth.

It is odd only having this one game. Hope it's a good victory to start the weekend out on a high note.

So we fall behind 3-0. I go to put Angry Dick Jr. to bed come back and it's tied 3-3. I love Coach Champion.

Ho-hum. Down 3-0 in the 2nd, score 3 goals in 5 minutes to tie it before the end of the 2nd. Win 4-3 and completely dominate Mack in the 3rd.

First, 2 points and no major injuries is always the goal vs. Merrihack.

As angrydick said, down 3-0 sort of chalked it up to not their night, slow bounceback from a big weekend, etc. It wasn't even like we were being outplayed that badly, our shots were just finding pads and theirs the back of the net. Jerry called a timeout at 2-0, from there we outscored them 4-1. No one's better at perfect timeouts and having the team respond. Nasty toe drag for Whitney on the first goal.

Something to watch, Destry Straight sat this one out with an ankle injury, of course no word ever crept out of the Vatican. York called it a "high ankle sprain, could be 2 weeks could be 6". It did expose that this team doesn't have much depth up front.

922 wins for Coach Champion

Edit: you can see what the threat of Gaudreau does to opposing teams once hockey east posts the video, pretty standard 2 on 2 and he attracts both dmen allowing whitney to drill one in off the bar
